I don't think that the survivors of the VP board must have more respect from the others because of their long fidelity. JF, I don't understand why your signature goes in contradiction with your worship of quotations. Anyway, the quotations of gaia are sucked from the skin of the Great Christian Brain Washer. It don't means that it didn't got any values, but by the way s/he use it, as a centerlight, it becomes dangerous for everybody. Marie, I really really like the words CATFISH. :D It is very that. Ah. Gaia, Can I use the word «sucked» in my post? Or must I censure it right f-king now? Please don't play that offensed virgin with me. All of you who play it have not brought a good point since the beginning of the thread. Come on now, don't make a Georges of yourself.

It is like whistling in the wind. No one is saying don't post, no one is howling for blood. The dissenters amongst us are being portrayed as a baying mob. That is far from the truth.

What I will say is I have seem comments from people whom I have not seen post since I first chanced upon this site. That in itself must mean something. Perhaps these people would love to contribute more to the site but feel it is being saturated by a hard core of blanket posters. It can be very off putting getting a constant drip of cloying comments even on one word "poems". (Please see thread in the poetry section - "Dancing is gone").

Glyn I don't really understand why you felt you had to warn Liz away from this thread as if you were protecting her. What do you think would happen if she commented on the thread that she has unwittingly created. Do you not think it would be helpful for all if she aired her views. I do not know Liz I have no quarrel with her per se. I would have thought it could only be benificial for her to join this thread.

PS: Liz is very opinionated, I am also very opinionated. I do not have a problem with people being opinionated quite the opposite. I also do not have a problem with peoples opinions differing from mine, again quite the opposite. It is stimulating to have alternate views. What I do have a problem with is one persons opinion becoming all emcompassing and being the only opinion being aired it then becomes a one horse race and may as well be called the Lizzie Forum

I am what I am

After all this IS fun. :) Looks like a big family fight. :D

September_Cohen, for what you have right to do or not on this board, please see with Partisan.

For me, I do what I want.

JF I quote again, if you don't mind. And if you mind, I don't.

"So come, my friends, be not afraid.
We are so lightly here.
It is in love that we are made;
In love we disappear.
Though all the maps of blood and flesh
Are posted on the door,
There's no one who has told us yet
What Boogie Street is for."

To Gaia and all the board

Your right, we all on this forum are in effect a family of Cohen and to squabble like this is silly. And i apologise to all i offended.
I mean that! We should all continue to post with similar effect. Some do it more, ............some less. What the Hell! It's the man that got us here and in silly posts like this we forget this. Sure there is good fun, but what about the feelings of the highlighted member of the Board? We should try and be more civil to each other...............if we can't, why critcisise others in threads of this Board? We will all differ in posts and we must accept this.
Perhaps i got carried away in my replies and i apologise to everyone. I do not apologise to free speech or to freedom to post. It's whats make us all unique and unusual. Let's get down the path of this Board together and we might make something of it. To fight is to divide and seperate.
Apologies to all i was short with...................Georges

Well said George. It is not always easy to apologise,
This is not an issue of 'camps divided' although the atmosphere does become clouded when it gets too personal.
There are too many squabbles around us in the world without having to confront more in our leisure times.

I loooooove this forum, even if I don't come here that often. It would be so horribly boooooring if all that was ever talked about was LC and his music/poetry etc.
This is a place where fans meet and, as in the chatroom, we should be free to talk about anything we like and everyone has the right to bitch about any subject they don't like.
But it is petty to sustain these personal attacks - do all you attackers have nothing better to bitch about than Lizzytysh? She at least has something to say about the relevant subject - your lives don't seem to be all that interesting if what Lizzy does is all you have to focus on.
I didn't know that space here was limited - I was under the impression that a thread went on until it was talked out and anyone could say as much as they wished for as long as they wished.
Sorry to get here with my penny ha'penny's worth long after the event - but as I said, I don't come here that often - I like to hang on to my illusion/delusion that most LC fans are nice interesting funny people, but that's becoming increasingly more difficult.

.....am I right that anyone is free to post 5 times (or more) for every one of any one else's postings? So there really is no reason why any one interested person should 'flood' any particular thread?

Did anyone understand that? I'm not sure I did :?

Like pebbles, we are polishing each other. Some of us are made out of a little harsher material than others when it comes to polishing. Some are also made out of material that is harder to polish. So probably evens out. :)

too much polishing and we'll become homogenous, dull and boring. It may be better for the delightful cast of characters here to retain their sharp edges.

This might sound churlish Jo could you tell me your critiera for being "nice interesting funny people".

LC's work attracts people from across the spectrum and in our own way we are all "nice, interesting and funny" to the people who matter. Unfortunately we all have personalities as well which don't always gel. That ain't a bad thing.

And learn to see that some remarks are tongue in cheek like limiting the number of postings. The only real thing that we all have in common is our love of LC's work. Therefore there are flare-ups. And some of the recent "personal" comments have had me on the floor laughing. I have had my tuppenny worth a whole hapenny more than you. I let you have a farthings worth
