next time - ...- Cohen (will) forsake theaters (for) arenas ( ) which, curiously, (are) better suited (for) his show.
Really? What do you people think?

Not sure I'd agree with that. While I'd be happy to see Leonard anywhere the smaller the venue the better! I mean who wants to be miles back at a Cohen concert. That was one thing I loved about the Colosseum was that it was so compact but yet spacious. I wouldn't mind having a replica venue here in Ireland!!

Give me a smaller venue anyday. But, that would limit the number of people who would be able to attend and the frenzy and stress that would ensue when trying to purchase tickets for the smaller venue.
Kindest regards,

Hey MaryB,
how "small", beautiful and elegant would it be again in Vienna s Konzerthaus
Greetings Susanne

Suzy,
Aaaah, in Vienna..... The Konzerthaus was such a lovely venue with impeccable acoustics (and what a beautiful city!). The only thing one could wish for if it was to be again, would be a little more appreciation from the audience IMHO. That said, you get in the moment and the concert and the venue overshadowed this smallest of complaints on my part.
Warmest regards,
Mary

True about the frenzy over tickets but for just one night only I'd love to see Leonard in a tiny intimate venue........... *daydreaming* *sigh*
Thanks had to do some serious reducing of the file size. Tried copying from my FB profile photo as FB auto compresses but it was still too big!

I do think that small venues suit him best and sorry to you all who went but I didn't (don't) actually like the thought of Leonard Cohen in Las Vegas, it's a personal view and not aimed at anyone but myself.
That said, I would also hope that if he does tour again next year, or the year after, that the set list changes drastically. In a quick look through his songs on the double CD Live in London (2008) which roughly, was the set list for every show during this tour, I took a look at the long list of Cohen songs and could name at least 25 and several more that would make an excellent new set list, though of course, some of the favourites from the last tour I would enjoy hearing again. I just think that having seen and heard him quite a few times since both of us were rather younger, I hope along with me, other fans from 12 to 112 also think this tour has now run it's course and believe it would be great to see him move on to other classics and naturally use some of the new songs off the new album.
That is of course a rather large assumption as to L.C ever touring again.........

Hey you not liking Vegas as a location does not reflect on those of us who were there so no need to apologise. Judging by Leonard's own words the Friday night I think he would probably agree with you. Finances permitting I'd have gone anywhere for the final shows. Vegas is a mixed bag for me. While I detest the selling of girls on the streets and felt visably ill at seeing pole dancers outside the venue and I could do without the gambling I did love the fact we were in the middle of a desert and The Colosseum is the best indoor venue I've ever been to. Quite frankly should Leonard tour again I wouldn't care what the setlist was. Just to see him live again would suffice for me. Of course there are songs I'd love to hear but just to be able to witness the magic again would heaven.

I shamelessly saw very little of Vegas. However had I known about this I would have had a look as I did venture to the volcano. Any photos?

He certainly deserves to retire in peace now but if he truly wishes to come back in 2012 I keep saying : biosphere! biosphere! biosphere! With a lot of giant screens in the park all around and the whole Sainte-Hélène Island as the concert room and, of course, during a beautiful day melting slowly into night in August.

For a small venue and a winter concert I would suggest the Planetarium.

I suggest Thomond Park, Limerick.

I know your reason for this but I prefer more intimate surroundings for LC concert. Come up with a smaller venue and all of Ireland and beyond would flock to Limerick

I just don't like the idea of stadiums. I know it is too small but I would love to see Leonard and co play The Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin. In my opinion it is our finest indoor venue in the country. Outdoors I'd have picked Lissadell but after today's judgement I doubt we will see concerts there again
