My husband said we are staying in a place called "Suite Hotel Lille Europe" (about 10 minutes walk from the theater) - does anyone know if that is the same place as Hotel Lille Europe? (Hope it is. . .)

Hi holydove,

It's not the same Hotel, but it's in the same area.

See you there,
Wijbe

I have just booked in to Hotel Lille Europe, since it seems to be the in-place to be.

Note that according to the hotel's website, there are no rooms left on 3 March, but I was able to book a single room through otel.com.

I and a couple of others are staying at the Hotel Continental on the Place de la Gare - cheap but hopefully cheerful :D

Hi All
Can I suggest we meet at the Novotel Lille Centre Gares (49 rue de Tournai) before the concert unless anyone has a better suggesting. I don't know Lille at all so it's difficult to decide. I rang the hotel and asked about the bar area and it's quite a big one.
Not too long now!!!!!! :D

Sounds good to me :D Could be in Lille around 17.00-17.30 ( driving form Holland with another forummember) So there would be 1.5-2 hours to meet and greet before going to the concert. Any other ideas?

Yesterday (Saturday), Helen and me booked our Eurostar from London and 3 nights in the Novotel Lille Centre Gares . (2nd/3rd/4th Mar). In light of the recent announcement by Jarkko, as this eurostar booking is non refundable, we are hopeful that the concert is still going ahead. We are waiting in anticipation to find out what the important information about the status of the tour is. We are trying to remain positive, so hopefully will be able to meet up with some of you, prior to and maybe after the concert. It looks like we are having a short break in Lille, anyway now, with or without Leonard! Just hope he is ok. :?

I think Lille may be full of people on a short break to not see Leonard Cohen that week! :)

I have also got a Eurostar/hotel combination booked March 1-4 at Suitehotel Lille which cost 100s of pounds, and I will also be going with or without the concert, looks a nice city. I am not looking on the bright side myself being a glass half empty person, and am just pleased I have already been to see him several times, though I will be disappointed of course if it is cancelled. We will see.....

I'll stay at the Novotel so that would be very convenient for me. Before or/and after the concert, it's all the same to me.

it seems that all the worries about the 'announcement' en the effects that it might have on the 2010 tour will not affect the March concerts in France :D At least, thats how I understood Jarkko's latest reply on that topic.
Looking forward to the concert (and ofcourse the announcement ;-) )

Jarkko said:
The present state of affairs has nothing at all to do with the ticket sales of the March concerts.
This was surely in response to suggestions that the concerts in March were not selling well. It appeared to me that Jarkko just wanted to inform people that the important news was not to do with sales, or problems on that score but for a reason that is to be announced soon.

I don't think that info is already available (in fact drouot still sells tickets for the 3rd of March!!!), but I reckon there will be an automatic transfer to the new date with the possibility of a refund.
