also on 1st avenue is a very good independent bookstore called Elliot Bay Books. they sell used books as well and offer a ton of author readings/appearances...worth checking out if you are in town for a few days or have time before the show!

OMG. . .words fail to describe.
But it was so wonderful and long, it was like a lifetime that one wishes one would have had.
There were quite a few people on te 12:15 boat that had been there.
At a friend's computer. ..more later.

Could you please start a separate topic for the Seattle concert because we still want to hear how your meetup in Seattle was on this topic. Thanks so much!
Kindest regards,
Mary

concert was ...well ...what new words can I find that haven't already been said- it was mesmerizing. I didn't meet anyone from this group , it started getting crazy pretty quick. Dino(sax and everything else) and Rafael(drummer) came out to Merch table for about half hour. They were so gracious.
Leonard jogged on to the stage and delivered. A few people I talked to who didn't know his music but were there because of someone else- well they were stunned and completely won over.It was beautiful. I was 26 rows back and am glad I had binoculors. Got to see Leonard raise his eyes to the Heavens as he sang Hallaluyah and lovingly look at the musicians.
Some people who were sitting in front rows thought the concert was over. They came up the aisle to try to beat the traffic I guess.Because I had the setlist from this forum, I knew that there was so much more(thanks!).So I scooted down the aisle, was told to go back to my seat and then saw empty seats in 4th row, sat down and enjoyed the rest of the show from a perspective that was phenomenal. I am a little sad tonight. I am grateful for the time with Leonard but the excitement and anticipation of seeing him is gone. He is so incredible. There is no one like him. He gives so much love to us.His respect for all around him is unprecedented. His words, his deep voice , his grace linger in my mind. I am glad those on this forum understand.

Oh, YES, Shauna we do understand! How wonderful that you had the presence of mind to snag that fourth row seat when those unknowing people left

! Mesmerizing was the same word I used when I first saw him in concert. The best thing to take away the sadness, aside from another concert if possible, is his music and maybe this forum. It is always so wonderful to read concert reviews, a bit like being back there again. Hope you become a frequent visitor here

.
Best regards,
Mary

Hi Shauna,
To see what your fellow attendees to the Seattle concert are saying about it, go to the thread titled 'Concert Report: April 23 Seattle'. Hope this is what you are looking for
