In regard to audience 'participation' I've just received Mr Dylan's recent Helsinki show and these are the taper's comments:-

I love quiet Finnish crowds, there's practically no crowd noise
during the songs and the whole thing sounds great.Vocals are clear
and upfront! Bob even talks and laughs! Some girls go crazy for Stu,
much to Bob's amusement. "Jesus... Stu's got a little friend out
there. Say hello to her. Been long time since someone screamed for
him..." Get this for those reasons, plus you get to hear the new
intro music. Personally the highlights for me were the quiet more
acoustic version of Tangled Up In Blue and Bob's vocals on Nettie
Moore, and naturally Bob's little speech and seeing him chuckle.

I was born in Crosby but left 40 years ago, loved the one about web feet.

Nearest pub is Vera's around the corner, owned by Vera Duckworth.
Bridge Street , a street that follows up from the Kings (cross main street, few mins toward Deansgate on right), has the Mark Addy, plenty of room to meet, a riverside pub and less than 10 mins from the Opera House, also near Salford Central Station.

BTW Manchester is the 2008 Capital of Trophies.

The Mark Addy sounds like the perfect venue in a perfect location. Anything to do with the actor of that name?
I have seen the place a couple of times but have never been in. I have been to Vera Duckworth's place a few times, luckily between the regular robberies. I'm in Manchester over the weekend so I shall go and visit the Mark Addy and scouse the place up.

Any comments from our Mancuncian friends?

Btw Rodin the European Capital Of Culture has managed amongst other artistic icons of the 20th. century to secure a loan of your namesake's The Kiss which is sitting proudly inthe foyer of our our beautiful Tate gallery.

The Mark Addy is a decent call, Dukes 92 is broadly in the same vein but more style.
For the record The Temple of Convenience is the old gents with a great juke box.
I think I may just follow my hunches and do a bit of hotel lounge lizarding and hope to bump into someone fascinating! A three in five chance at worst and I can narrow those odds down over four days with a little work.
