Ah, thanks for pointing that out! I may not even be flying into Athens, may take trains (that is if I manage to get tickets!), but it seems Thessolonki is 7 hours by coach away from Athens!

You are telling me that you want to go from Switzerland to Athens via Thessaloniki by train? This means that you have to go to Bern in Switzerland then to Vienna in Austria then to Budapest in Hungary then to Bucharest in Romania then to Sofia in Bulgaria and finally catch thte train to Thessaloniki

Then you will have to catch the Intercity Express train which connects Thessaloniki with Athens (with that train is only 4 hours). Do you know that it may take you several days to do that?! It will cost you twice as much as you would pay for a plane ticket. So please, you better fly to Athens or you will be out of temper in the Balkanian rail borders. It is cheaper and more convenient that way

I admire you though

Doing all that just for Lenny Cohen...

Hey, cheers for that

I know it is a bit crazy, but I kind of thought I could see some of Sofia and Slovenia and Croatia on my way down to Athens

I may just take a train to Sofia and fly or something. I came so far for Lenny...
Hope they announce the Athens gig soon, and I can get tickets over the phone or online :-s

Do you have an international account or something? Maybe you could send me the money to my bank account and let me buy the concert tickets for you. Then I can meet you somewhere in Athens and give them to you! This is no trick, believe me! I will be glad to help someone see Leonard in my hometown

Lets see what the future will bring for Athens and then you can tell me what will be your decision, OK? Cheers Arthur!

Hi from Greece.
I would suggest everyone to be patient
and rely only on Jarkko for reliable
information about the Athens concert.
As we speak it is NOT yet confirmed.
But be patient!
in the mean time 4 drops of impatiens
Bach flower 4 times a day will help

The concert is indeed going to happen. So you can bet on it! The "7" magazine from the last Sunday's "Eleutherotypia" newspaper has confirmed this! Also Mr Kanellopoulos from the avopolis.gr site sent me this e-mail when i sent him what does he know about the gig:
Kαλησπέρα και σε σένα
Ισχύει 100%. Στον Λυκαβηττό. Κι ελπίζω να είναι και καλά...
Δ.
which when we translate it, it goes:
Good evening to you.
It is valid 100%. At Lykabettus theatre. And I so hope he is physically well...

ways_of_escape:
First wait for the "official"
confirmation of the concert here.
I guess Jarkko will also give information
about the tickets.

The info about Athens seems a long time coming.Does anyone know if the ticket purchase will be simple or complex as in other venues/using agencies with the need for codes/passwords etc?Any info on how you would normally get tickets for this venue much appreciated-that way the need for any pre register etc can be sorted out ahead if needs be.Thanks in anticipation.

Unfortunately July 29 is not possible for me cause I am having a headache that night. I wish it was a day later or so.
