Legend Cohen adds extra gig date
Legendary songwriter Leonard Cohen will play an extra date in Ireland this summer after selling out two Dublin concerts in less than an hour.
Tickets for the new gig at The O2 on July 22 went on sale immediately, according to the promoters Pod Concerts. Cohen is renowned for his songwriting career spanning five decades, which has explored the themes of love, sex, death and religion.
The hugely-influential singer and songwriter will play one night at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on July 26 as well as Dublin on July 19 and 20 and now July 22. Among his most well-known songs are Suzanne and Hallelujah, which have been widely covered by other artists through the years.

Jarkko, I think if you ever decide to do a gig in Ireland, you will also sell out as fast as Leonard. We all owe you a a big debt of gratitude. Thanks again

Amazed at the ticket sales and announcement of the third might. Does this say something about the Irish psyche at the moment?
I thought if a third date had been announced in Dublin that it would have been the Saturday night the 18th (and had gambled by booking an hotel)but obviously not. Might have considered another ticket for Saturday but probably not mid week (but I might change my mind). Going to be an expensive week with tickets, hotels etc., (substitute for a holiday!) but I cannot pass on the chance to see LC again.
On Radio Ulster a few days ago a topic of conversation was the price of the Belfast LC concert tickets with callers phoning in about this!

Yesterday, 10th April, I was able to purchase via Ticketmaster 4 tickets for Dublin concert on 19 July.
Looks like they have released another block of tickets for that date.
I already have 4 seats in front, Block A. Row A.
I have tickets for all 3 of Leonard's concerts in Dublin.
Thanks to Jarkko and his Pre-sale gift to us.
I will be there with my Banner advising him that should he forget the words of any song,

HI guys,
just joined fan club, so HELLO to all

. I would dearly love to try and find tickets for my dad and mam (my dad is a mega fan and has been for years; they are not entirely computer literate).unfortunately, it seems ive been slow off the mark as no tickets seem to be on sale for any of the dates. does this mean there is no hope?
thanks

I believe it has just been announced here that Leonard is due to add an extra date to his Dublin Concerts, making a total of 4 nights appearing in 02 Dublin. The tickets go on sale on Monday 27th April at 9am.

Can anything be done about the scalpers.....? Ebay has super tickets at super inflated prices, some of which were "purchased via the official fan-club pre-sale". It's upsetting.......
