My four tickets to the concert have got lost in the post ... apparently they were posted by Tickmaster on 12th May but they did not arrive. Ticketmaster have told me to go to the ticket desk in Lissadell on 31st to collect duplicates. Has this happened to anyone before and did everything work out ok in getting the duplicates .... I am sooooo anxious in case there will be any difficulty.

Yes that did happen to me in 2009 for Neil Young Concert at 02.
There were no problems collecting replacment tickets at the Ticketmaster booth ;-) .
The tickets that were issued to you with seat number etc. have been cancelled so whoever may have the tickets they are worthless to them, or to whoever might buy them, as they will be rejected via security scanner at the entrance to Lissadell.
If you have the Block and seat numbers , ( from sale confirmation email ) it might be a good idea to publish them here , just in case anyone is trying to sell them to another. :!:
But not to worry, your admittance to a Great Concert is assured. ;-)

Thank you so much Carlowmike! My heart sank when they told me. As everyone else I know who is going got them ok so decided to make a call to Ticketmaster this morning to check.

My tickets are for Sat 31st July Block B, Row L 47-50 just in case anyone is trying to off load them.

Thanks a million again and here's to a great concert ...

hobyrne, I had a communication from a contact in Ticketmaster requesting that I mention to you that you should bring your Credit Card (same one used to make original purchase, if possible :!: ) and some means of identification when calling to collect your replacment tickets at the Ticketmaster outlet in Lissadell on the 31st  .
Forum Members who may intend to purchase further tickets should note the Ticket numbers above.
I am told there will be a small number of BlockA tickets dating from day of pre-sale on sale next week -- (cancelled office group).I believe they may be offered on this thread, sans Credit Card charge, 115 euro each, no additional charges. ;-)

Thanks Carlow Mike for the information on the Saturday lunch in Sligo. It is good to know we don't have to pay in advance
and there is no one set time. I hope to make it but may not make it so this is good information to have.
Thanks again 8) Les

swan13 will be interested to know that later this morning Ticketmaster will be selling tickets for Sunday in re-arranged BlockA -- Row S.

I believe they are from extra seats added to the original general seating plan :!: .

The unneeded tickets coming up for sale next week date from the day of pre-sale (closer to stage) and apply only to the Saturday Concert .

Maybe you should just get onto Ticketmaster again and just cancel those tickets altogether and get one of the new block A tickets about to come on stream. Mike, could you help there with your contact ?? ;-)

Good idea coolfada, but all sorted now.
hobyrne is happy with the seat numbers he originally purchased, ( well :!: as much as we all have to be  ) the problem arose because the items went astray in the custody of An Post.
The missing tickets + seats are still assigned to the buyer.
The fact the tickets have gone astray in the post does not affect seating allocation,
as duplicates of lost tickets will be available for collection on the day.
If Ticketmaster were to agree to allocate new seats for those who report lost tickets,
in just might result in increase in lost ticket reports :!: -- plus lots of empty seats, ;-)

Thanks Lads! I am happy that I can get my duplicates on the day. Will probably call Ticketmaster a few days before the 31st just to be sure but don't anticipate any difficulty thanks to the reassurances given....

There are at least 2 bus companies arranging transport to Sligo from other counties and shuttle buses from the town to the Concert,
we will have all the transport details early next week.

Many Record shops have closed down in the past year, we miss them now, it was through them that concert goers bought concert tickets and arranged buses and collection points throughout various towns  .

The tree planting suggestion is with the Committee, I am told they have made approach to Leonard's management regarding the idea ;-) .

That sounds like a very good idea hoyrne. A similar thing has happened to me - one of my Gent tickets has also got lost in the post. The local ticket agency has advised me to contact them again 4 days before the concert to arrange to collect a duplicate at the box office on the day of the show.

I want to alert every one to the fact that the County Manager of Sligo , Mr Hubert Kearns, has not issued a permit for the concerts in Lissadell.
I would urge everyone to email info@sligococo.ie and let them know how you feel about this. We all want to see Leonard Cohen in Sligo...lets fight for it. Don't let power-mad paid officals dictate .
regardless of carlowmike's response to the above alert it may be a good idea for members of the LCF to email info@sligococo.ie to let them know how we feel about political interference in this joyous occasion.
I will be contacting LC Fan Clubs today to act on this.
