las Vegas and San Jose should be doable (defintely San Jose), and I would love to go to NY (I knew he'd end up at Madison Square Garden!) if only to be able to say, when I'm old, "I saw Leonard Cohen at 'The Garden'". But... finances dictate LV and SJ. Looking forward to meeting you, hopefully at both!

Note - Jarkko never said anything about this being the last concert period - just last concert of the World Tour 2008-2009 (unless I missed something ). Jarkko, are you up to your old tricks again ?

I have a spare bedroom and 2 hide-away couches in the basement rec room in our little home - let's see, that would be room for about 50 if you sleep close to and on top of each other - maybe a few less if LC and entourage decide to stay here also !

An exceedingly good guess. I suppose that it is relatively near Leonard's home in LA and, therefore, a fitting end to this portion (we hope) of the tour. I had to laugh when I read that he is playing Las Vegas. Before the announcement of the first leg of the U.S. tour, I had told folks that I hoped that he would play Las Vegas while we were there during the middle of April last year. It was a big family trip with both of our daughters joining us and there were many emails going back and forth about what show(s) to see. We finally decided on Elton John which was one of his last show's at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace-I would gladly have paid more to see Leonard.

Now, I hope that we can plan another trip to Chicago. The Rosemont Theater is on the far NW side very near O'Hare Airport-not that far from Wisconsin-so Jeremek while it wasn't one of the last concerts-you certainly were close. That area doesn't have the charm of the loop and downtown Chicago-but I hope we will make do.

How about Los Angeles - the City of the Angels. Most appropriate finale for the group - all angels -which played in O2 Dublin on Monday evening last. It was a concert to be remembered for the rest of one's life - the venue was thronged - it was like a giant ant's nest. The lighting was brilliant, the atmosphere electric and the music heavenly. All were on top of form. The O2 was a far superior venue, a thousand times better than Kilmainham where last year's concerts were played. I was privileged to be part of the audience.

San Jose, Ca. HP Pavillion, unfortunately. This is a cold place to see Leonard Cohen.
I saw him at the Paramount Theater in Oakland, Ca. on April 14. It was a deep
and beautiful experience beyond the words to tell. I will never forget that show!

Welcome to the forum. So glad you got to see him in Oakland. I have seen him in 'intimate' and larger venues, and trust me, they are all memorable, beautiful, and deep experiences because he surrounds himself with consummate, passionate professionals such as he is. The HP Pavillion will be just fine and they will make it seem intimate.
