For anybody still looking, there are Block A, row S tickets available on Ticketmaster tonight.
Block A Flat would appear to be divided into Block A, B. and C.

Hi CarlowMike
I am delighted that the tree planting idea is being considered. While I appreciate that Leonard himself may not be available

perhaps Maarten plant the tree?

Something dosent look right with those tickets. Block A seating only goes to row M and when you try to purchase them, even though the first line says: Section BlockA, under description it says Block C.

Order for: michael purcell, Monday, 31st May.
Seat location: section BLOCKA, row S, seats 44-45
Copy of my purchase from yesterday states "row S" !....
I believe they are re-arranging the seating and adding extra rows of seats !
They may be doing this as there was not a 3rd Concert added.
But it may mean that those at the rear will now be even further back !...

So what was announced as a 10,000 seater concert is turning into a 12 or 15000 seater ,
is there any limit, how large are the grounds ??.
The people up front are ok but if they keep pushing back how far can they go ?
They do this in the 02 all the time and for Leonards previous show there they added extra rows with restricted viewing alongside the stage and under the screens !

I have been in touch with POD requesting clarification on seating arrangments and "extra" ticket sales.
I doubt if they can accommodate five thousand extra people as the Concert is subject to Licence, planning
and insurance considerations.
The response from POD should be interesting

This is a common practice with oversold concerts, particularly with outdoor events.
One year it was claimed by many that Slane exceeded the number permitted to attend by 5,000, as a result there was
overcrowding on the grounds. We await explanation from POD.

One of the Bus routes being considered at the moment is from Waterford via Kilkenny, Carlow, Portlaosie
to Sligo.
Bus Eireann will soon issue details of special Bus services from major towns, including Shuttle Bus times and pick-up points in Sligo..

The bus service from towns sounds like a good idea
but will they be completing the return journey on the same night ?
a 3 hour return journey following the concert would be a bit much besides arriving at final destination in the wee hours of the following morning !, jeney

I done a similiar journey for Bryan Adams in Slane. Left for the gig at 8am and returned home at 4.30am. Had a 9am start the next day. I was wrecked but it was worth it. Glad I'm not doing that for Leonard though!!!!!

Still waiting on feedback from POD regarding extra ticket sales and rearranged seating plan.
In the meantime I have been told that all pubs in Sligo town will remain open till 2.30 am
over the weekend of the Concert (Fri. to Sun.).
Several restaurants plan on late opening also.
"Coming Together For Sligo" are publishing a little booklet with map which will be distributed to concert goers for free throughout the town.
Would Patricia ( trish) or Paula ( aloevera) please contact me as I have tickets for them
, carlowmike.

This from POD this evening
:
Dear Michael,
In response to your queries, we have not been given Leonard Cohen's schedule for his Lissadell shows so I'm afraid we cannot confirm an on stage time this far out. If you get in touch closer to the time we'll be able to let you know however.
With regards to seating, some production held seats were released back on sale this week which is what people are noticing I would say.
I don't have a seating plan I'm afraid, but there is one on the Ticketmaster website which may help? .
Thank you, we will let you know as soon as we have a time schedule.
