I must admit though I haven't had a guess at where it will be (totally bewildered), as the present tour is titled 'Summer Tour of Europe 2009' I assumed the people who were guessing the US were in cuckooland. Maybe it has gone off script then and I am the birdbrain.

Israel is on the Asian continental plate?

I think I have just seen the light - a bit late - tomorrow's announcement is going to be the rest of the 2009 World Tour and lots of new dates are going to be detailed, so the last one could be almost anywhere.

Not quite anywhere, Jarkko has already told us (here and in other threads) that:
1. Barcelona is the last show in Europe and there will be no more European dates
2. The last concert will not be in Montreal

Literally speaking there is no single correct answer to this question. The question is not "where will be the last concert of the World Tour 2008-2009".

The question is, however, "where do you think will be the last concert of the World Tour 2008-2009". The correct answer to that question is the city where YOU THINK the last concert will be. So every answer, if it's what you truly think, is a correct answer.

I think that it IS indeed going to be San Francisco, I have had the impression that that might be the correct answer from the moment when I first saw it mentioned here (and whoever it was who brought it up, it was a very educated guess!).
