This is exiting.
Imaging, I started to listen to Leonard Cohen 1967, without that first LP I think I could never made my school. I listened and got energy. And all his music has followed med ever since. Up till this summer I thought I was the only one listening to his music. And even if I have worked with computers for over 35 years - I did not even search for this, did not know anything, until there where a little note in the newspaper about the concert held the day before. But then I started to search and find this excellent forum, thanks Jarkko, Locking back in the mirror - I just listened to the music and did not search on internet for anything, why should I (I thought). I am soo glad finding this. Up to this summer I thought I was the only one - and - look - we are many! I can imaging going to US for this event (?) might be costly. Lets see, if this will be reachable.

Red Poppy --- at one point I too wondered if Jarkko was engaged in some strange psychology experiment .. but it has been great fun and whilst, elsewhere, I can react to other things going on in the world, it was great to have this space ... and I found something Leonard said a while ago on the files:

"There's a kind of family that is gathered around my work. It's not fixed in my work, but merely uses it as a reference to their own lives and to their own very amusing and touching flirtations, communications, confessions, exchanges."

It's nice that he's organising a family get together!!!!

If it's a concert just for fans and the press, perhaps it's a special live recording? Or maybe a sneak preview of the new album?

I just came back from a very beautiful holiday in Nice where we wandered once again the grounds at Cimiez where we heard on July 22nd Leonard Cohen once more after 15 years.
Back in Berlin I find this wonderful news and this great thread and I wonder how I can spend the time until 4 o'clock our time
- I talk to my bank manager (just in case)
- I clean the appartement
- I teach the cats some tricks, especially how to open a can so they are self sufficient when we go to this special concert.
If it is not four o'clock I start again.

700 Euro - that would include the ticket, the flight and 3 nights in a filthy room made up by O’Reilly.

Just checking - I'll be back later. I was online the night the first leg of the tour was anounced and it was great fun - a real feeling of community. I'm expecting the "surprise" will be in New York so I wont be there but this is exciting anyway.
