i am very proud of the fact that after all his years of lurking i managed to play a small part of getting your dad to come out of the closet...and please don't worry about either your mum or dad they are fine and both look twenty years younger when they haven't got you and the rest of the family hanging around their necks..i met them both today and as you can see your dad handed me my badge although not long after we met a troop of armed soldiers waving their guns about surrounded us..so we quickly left...strange but true...funny place this ireland....ta ken

Dear Walker,
My second post perhaps will be better in a new tread, but therefore I think it's a little bit to early.
Here are the results from the FIRST LEONARD COHEN BIRTHDAY WALKING today.
So here we go. Below you find the map (we started in A and ended in B ... as usual) Our speed and elevation data (Flat walk !!!) I will post the general information about our walk in an other item, because I can't upload more than 3 pictures ... I'll have to inform myself by a moderator !

PS Thanks Maarten to support me by this job and I'm glad to have a moderator nearby who can correct all my faults and who reads the posts from his family and friends ....

As promised the general data from our first LEONARD COHEN BIRTHDAY WALK.
Take note that we walked during more than 2 hours and rested during 50 minutes.
For the experts who are reading this I can send you the Gpx-file if you want to do it over.

Joe did a great job but Ken and I were the real leaders of the gang on this walk !

And how appropriate to have a lady leading the way. We know men get lost and refuse to ask for directions.

Looks like you all had a wonderful time. Great photos! I see that some serious walking actually happened. I am impressed and what beautiful countryside.

21.09.13....if you want to know how some leonard cohen fans celebrated his 79th. birthday...they travelled from all corners of europe climbed a mountain in connemara and then handed round a bottle of bushmills whiskey....happy birthday leonard cohen..
