jaysus joe the most terrifying four letter word known to man...i hope there are plenty of warning signs outside busker brownes for those of us who are likely to have an adverse and possibly violent allergic reaction if we walk in there by mistake...ta ken

Oh dear I hate jazz too it makes my ears bleed. I find it just fragments my mind with its disjoined sounds. I will potter off somewhere else whilst all around are listening to it.

The rest of the tour sounds really great looking forward to it. Cheers Joe xxx

Question - on the Friday how do we get from the Burren to the ferry for Inish Oirr? After we've walked in the Burren area will the coach take us to Doolin or do we walk there? Pete

It's more a jazz lovers meeting! Maybe a few cohenites will bring their huge collection of Charlie Parker, Coltrane and Mingus records, to name but a few, only for this occasion! I'll bring a few Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Peter Broetzman,Weather Report and Soft Machine records.

Hi Henning
I know it's a walking weekend but there are one or two of us who cannot manage what we used to be able to manage. I always have to forward plan to allow for my medical restriction. In Barmouth it worked very well for me as some of us had alternative plans.
I may have it all wrong but looking at a map I know I will not be able to walk from the Burren/Caves area to the ferry at Doolin. Google map says it's 25 km from the caves to the ferry and that's way over my limit.

For those travelling from Dublin Bus Eireann are doing €5 specials on express journeys at the moment. However I'm guessing that this is only from the city centre so not useful for those coming via the airport. Here is the link to give people the option.

Wishing you all a wonderful time, the itinerary looks great, especially the Friday and devastated I won't be there but I have exams that day so I know it is out of my control. Looking forward to hearing all the reports and photos and if ye see Dusty the dolphin when getting the ferry from Doolin get photos for me :D

Joe has only allowed four hours for those walks so, even for someone as fit as me ;-) , 25km in 4 hours is a bit of a stretch. So logic tells me a coach must be involved... and I'm resting easy

Blimey I just googled the walk into imperial 15 miles in four hours! Joe you do realise what a decrepit bunch we are and we often lose some every time we pass a pub

Paula would you care to re-phrase.

We are going to visit some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in all my years on this earth. So I don't mind helping to cattle prod you.

Don't forget to mind where you are placing your feet for those 15 miles acros the Burren:
