BWTGOAGV - I may sound cynical, but I genuinely believe that's the way things will map out...wait and see...(not so young, by the way...a youthful '61)!
Wendy - Your argument sounds reasonable, but the reason I don't believe this, is because I've seen other artists that I follow (such as Brian Wilson & the Beach Boys) subjected to exactly the same tactics that I mention above. Meanwhile artists who aren't bringing in such big bucks tend to announce complete tour listings.

We cannot always get what we wish for.
I was late to the presale as I had not checked the forum for a few weeks
(that will teach me) but like Geoff, I also got Block 112 Row G.
I am very pleased with that.
I like the O2 as a venue and I have seen Leonard, Tina Turner, The Eagles, Stevie Wonder
etc there. I do not see a problem with the blocks at the side near the stage.
To me they are much better than being on the flat halfway down the arena.
Sometimes I think that I might have done better but if that is my biggest complaint then
life is pretty good.
I also console myself with the thought that the are 18000 fans with worse tickets than me.
Perhaps we are all a bit spoiled by the fine effort of Jarrko and his friends which allows
us to access the presales. I am just saying ......

I'm sure there are going to be a lot of interesting venues on the 2013 tour.
I've become very happy about NOT having tickets to the 02 on midsummer's day

61....In leonard's world view - just a kid and not so much cynical as firmly grounded in reality!

Thanks to everyone who helped me try to work out if I will be able to see anything from the front, but way over right at the side.
Most of you were optimistic - so I am optimistically looking forward to an unobstructed view....albeit with a crick in my neck from looking upwards!
Worst scenario is a good view of the speakers with LC's head just above the boxes - but it's a very nice head!
Thanks again
Cilla.

This was the view from the
furthest right hand seat on the front row in the palau st jordi barcelona ( a big sports arena) in october
may be misleading because of course not the same venue , but might give an indication of what you might see
Leonard's left profile is very nice !

Thanks Cohenadmirer - great video!
I love watching Leonard's face when he shows that he really appreciates the excellent musicians - in this case the violin bit.

I completely agree . One of the many joys of watching leonard in concert is the way he pays respect and gives full attention to members of the band. I think he particularly responds to Alex's violin contributions. He often closes his eyes and clearly attends to the sound in a very focused way - entering a brief meditative state it seems .
I also love the way he often leaves gaps after the solo in the hope that the audience too will show their appreciation !
His stillness while listening is also beautiful .
A good illustration of this is ' come healing ' from montreal , first night .

I hope you get a great view on the 21st june , though you will have to twist your body to the left a lot!
The great thing about the front row , even the extreme edges , is that you are relatively oblivious to the cavernous space behind you and the likely frequent movement of people going to top up their alcohol level !

John,
Apologies if my tongue-in-cheek message lost its intended tone via the non-spoken word!
I don't think that you are cynical at all.
In fact, I think that you are realistic.....and absolutely correct in your analysis.
I've been buying tickets for far too many years to fall for the arrant hogwash that these tour promoters and ticket agencies utter in a feckless attempt to justify their dodgy procedures.....

So I wasn't as on the ball as I should have been, but got some tickets in Block 101 this afternoon via the forum link. I then got home from work to find that my better half had got some tickets in Block B via a link in an email from O2.
We're in a much better position than last year when we had to rely on the kindness of a forum member in order to get tickets. But which tickets are likely to be the better seats? And what is the safest way of selling the surplus tickets (at face value, of course)?
AJ.

dogzero - I would say that 101 are the best, unless you're way back in that section. Since the floor is on the flat, block B is quite a way back in my opinion, unless you're right at the front of it. Which row you're in would be important, here. I don't have any experience of selling tickets via the internet, so others will have to advise you.

Well, Paris was announced a bit ahead of that (and it is Bercy not some nice small venue). But John since you either have inside knowledge, psychic powers or - more likely - understand the logics of AEG - let us in on the whole tour itinerary will you?

Absolute joke.
Logged in at 9am to a number of sites (Ticketmaster, SeeTickets, Stargreen, AXS) and no floor tickets anywhere.
Guess it'll be Ebay again

Something funny going on in the wood shed.
I tried both on line and also phoned - got through easily every time, no problem there -
the 02 itself, AEG Ticketmaster and Eventim. The same answer, only tickets in the upper tier or the back of the lower tier. Where did all the tickets go?
I had a chat to the man on Eventim, because I got good tickets with them before, and he said they were only allocated a handful of seats in the lower tier and all the rest were in the upper tier. They did not get any for the floor.
Who got them and who was able to buy them I wonder?
