On ITunes right now, it is the first thing listed under "What We're Listening To" which I guess repesents ITunes staff and management.

The DVD is up for rent through Netflix, and at last check in my list, they have the status as "short wait" as others have already rented it.

I will just download it from Itunes now. Instant access, a little cheaper, and it saves room not having actual CD space.

But an FYI for any XBOX 360 users out here.

They do have the USB ports that IPods plug into. The 360 will even charge your IPod. I just tested this out tonight. I wanted it to play through my TV as my CD player upstairs is broken. Nothing would play.

So I called Microsoft. The guy told me Apple IPod's will play on the 360, but ONLY stuff from your home CD collection. BUT it will NOT play anything you've downloaded from ITunes and it has a censor to tell that content. (So it looks like I'm going to have to buy an IHome tomorrow.)

He didn't give me a reason but I have a pretty good idea as to "why". Microsoft tried to compete with Apple with a music/media device of their own called Zune.

Just the other day they announced winners of "The Gadget Awards". The IPhone 3G won for Best Gadget of the Year while the Zune was voted the worst. ITouch was voted best handheld non-cell phone or Blackberry device. Microsoft can't be happy as the Nintendo WII won for Best Video Game System beating out XBOX 360 and PS3.

I'm pretty certain this will be a global number one, as the collective will pick up on the buzz that surrounds it. One guy at Fopp (Shaftesbury Avenue, London) today told me that the CD is outselling everything else. They ran out of the CD yesterday, when I bought the last two copies. It still amazes me that people seem to prefer the CD to the DVD, and that shops would stock low volumes of the DVD when the CD and DVD are virtually the same price. Why would anyone prefer to listen to a live CD of songs they know inside out, when they can have the whole concert experience on the DVD? (unless of course they happen to listen mainly when they are driving). I should only whisper it, but I think the DVD should really have cost almost twice the price of the CD (no complaint, though!).

All good things, John E

Does anyone know what was yelled out when Leonard chuckles and says, just before Anthem, "I heard that"?
Does anyone know the answer to this?, I'd really love to know too!
I think someone shouted out a request for "Don't Go Home with Your Hard-On." :)

My dvd arrived this morning.

I am no longer disappointed by no Partisan.

Just grateful. It's not every day you get the best concert of your life for posterity.

This one of the best concert dvds but why did they use the same source as the video screens at the O2 which are 4x3 :(

Ordered both from Amazon on Monday, and all I've got is an email saying they won't be delivered until 15th -21st April. Oh woe! How I can wait?

Collected mine from HMV today - been listening to the CD whilst driving... if I'd have closed my eyes I'd have been back there at the concert...but I didn't close my eyes...cos I was driving.
The DVD is placed temptingly next to the DVD player but there's a football match on TV tonight :)

I fit in the DVD last night, and am listening to the CD now in fits and starts.

So far, I have to say I like the CD better -- the DVD had some editing and camera choices that left a bit to be desired on occasion. The concert overall is fantastic (though not Montreal, if I may gloat a bit), but the DVD seems to be made up entirely of closeups of faces and hands. There's very little sense of the concert as a whole -- the crowd, the stage setup and so on. There was one song even that it wasn't until the end, in an accidental pan of the camera, that I knew that Leonard was playing his guitar. Other times the camera wasn't trained on where the action was, or even pulled back to let you see who was doing what.

That, and hardly any features. Song lyrics, yes (like I don't have those already), but nothing else. No bonus footage, no buildup to the event, just Leonard running up to the stage and starting the show. All sex, no foreplay.

I'm not disappointed, though. Just to say that I would have done things a bit differently. IANAD, YMMV, CYLL, etc., etc.

I bet the 12,000 people who weren't anywhere near the front at 02 aren't complaining about the close-ups! I also don't think anyone can complain about the lack of extras when you get a full two and a half hour concert on DVD for less (or the same) price as the CD.

All good things, John E

All the close ups are great it gives a very intimate feel to the show it hard to believe its in that huge barn.

I was not at O2 I saw him twice at Manchester but I'm told the dvd is the same source that was shown on the video screens at O2, this could explain the close ups.

both John, both.... it's a no-brainer 8)

Play.com showing availability of both (I have the CD but not the DVD yet, although I did get an email saying it had been posted....)
