It is obvious to me that being a lancastrian you are not familiar with much of our history except that we always win whenever we play you at sport . Therefore I will fill you in with the details . This beloved county of mine used to be called "Yolk"shire but there was a crack in everything and thats where the white got in

philip.....i had a dream last night which warned of the differences between NORTH yolkshire and SOUTH yolkshire...best if we all stay south of the border away from fried yolks ..irate landladies....and unhelpful german taxi drivers

...then the dream turned into a nightmare.......but i'm OK now...ta ken

...mr liptrot i think this needs some explaining.................................

..i travelled over the snowy north yorkshire moors today to see a play on the leeds city varieties music hall...next door to the music hall is a very posh (posh even for posh leeds) upmarket gastro pub called the white swan..although i was only having a cuppa tea meself i picked up the menu and nearly fell off my seat when i read what was being served with the fish and chips.....YORKSHIRE CAVIAR!!!!!..
...all i could think of was that it's a local term for mushy peas but surely not actual CAVIAR that comes from YORKSHIRE....surely not please tell me it's not please.....ta ken

Just looked in- and here you all still are! Amazing. A weekend in Yorkshire in September sounds good, especially if you can order the same weather as we had in Wales. Still not walking far, but at least I am not on crutches now.

Hope you're progressing well. My brother broke his leg a few months ago and he's just thrown his crutches away - but he keeps falling over! (just joking about the 'falling over' but he did break his leg - in three places (no - not three geographical places!!) )

The Guests (of this thread)

People’s views no more arrive
The post's stopped coming through
From the open hearted many
To the broken hearted few

And no one knows where this thread is going
No one knows why this thread is slowing
Oh I need you
I need you
I need you
I need you
Oh I need you now

Take a chance just one more chance
Let those who weep begin
Welcome, welcome cries my voice
Please let the posts come in

And no one knows where this thread is going….

Come on click upon your mouse
In lonely secrecy
Come on please reveal yourself
Has thou forsaken me

And no one knows where the night is going……

All at once my life is bare
Now postings are in ration
One by one no longer there
In any style or passion

And no one knows where this thread is going…..

You used to contribute so fast
Problems shared and solved
Now no longer on this thread
Are all your lives involved

And no one knows where this thread is going…..

Is there a chance just one more chance
For us to weep again
Or is this thread forever lost
Forever lost till when

And no one knows where this thread is going
No one knows why this thread is slowing
Oh I need you so

And where, where, where are the posters this cold and frosty night
I've heard that they're all sleeping, with eyes closed real tight
With heads on pillows and dreaming for that I am so sure
I hear the names they call amongst their little snores
And where, where are the posters this very night?
Where, where are the posters this very night?

But some of the posters surf in the old internet cafe
They've risen from their slumbers and donned their negligees
but find they cannot post for they forgot to pay
I raise my voice against it all and hope they come to play

And where, where, where are the posters this cold and frosty night
I've heard that they're all sleeping, with eyes closed real tight
With heads on pillows and dreaming for that I am so sure
I hear the names they call amongst their little snores
And where, where are the posters this very night?
Where, where are the posters this very night?

It's not too late to drop by and share a little love
There are so many many days to post us with a flood
of messages and greetings so that we can all be touched
that's all we ask for now - it's not that very much

And where, where, where are the posters this cold and frosty night
I've heard that they're all sleeping, with eyes closed real tight
With heads on pillows and dreaming for that I am so sure
I hear the names they call amongst their little snores
And where, where are the posters this very night?
