Not so much, I think. Just think two years back, what a privilege of a discussion we have now! And compared to other artists (the "other" one I follow is Morrissey, blame my youth in the eightees). Once again, I understand all the trouble with the money ypu spent, but sometimes I'm quite amazed, how fast we all get used to something. Cheers, M.
I just had to answer this one Matthias. I think you are totally missing the point.
A lot of us travelled to Las Vegas and San Jose to see what we believed to be the last 2 shows for the forseeable future. We considered ourselves blessed to have had the opportunity to see Leonard live in concert over the 2008-9 tour and we would have been content if San Jose HAD been the last show. But then a 2010 tour was announced ... and tickets went on sale. We bought tickets and we made our arrangements accordingly.
I'm not going to say any more until I know WHAT is happening or not happening, and why.
Wendy
Wendy, maybe I missed YOUR point. My point just is - not only in this specific topic - how fast we all expect more and more. But I'm sorry if you felt offended. M.

Looks like the only ticket purchases being blocked at this point are for Moscow. So many forum members are reporting that when they attempted to buy tickets for some of the French venues at this point, they were still able to go through the process. The concerts that no one has checked to this point in this manner are Zagreb and Katowice. These three concerts, especially Moscow and Katowice, seemed to have the most problems. Moscow was announced and then it took forever before the actual sale went on with those horrifically high prices. Katowice, an incomprehensible ticket buying process - 'send us your money, and then we'll tell you where your seat will be'

.
Who knows, maybe one or more of the concerts have a change in venue to another city close by (with the tickets still being honored) and that is why Jarkko talked about not making further booking arrangements and why he removed Zagreb from his signature.

I've spent the day absorbed in many other things but the evening ( here in the UK ) brings me back to al this
Since Jarkko says there will be information about ' the tour' at least logically that presupposes there will be ' a tour ' to give information about .
Since he says members ' may consider' holding off booking flights etc until the announcement , that suggests to me there is a risk some ( but perhaps not all ) such bookings will be wasted .
Since everyone seemed to agree that leonard looked and sounded great at the 'pre-grammies' there is no reason to worry about his health ( although there can be no guarantees)
Since Leonard wouldn't let fans down i imagine he himself hasn't cancelled concerts .
I think , and hope , what we'll find is that the management have anxieties about whether certain concerts are viable ( for whatever reason but perhaps including financial issues ) so have had to cancel or significantly change some. However i have a feeling most will go ahead ( including those it is is still possible to buy tickets for through the official route - that includes most of the french concerts for sure ). Where there are cancellations it will be a horrible disappointment for some , but i have a feeling there will be a significant tour and many who haven't already seen leonard will get a chance in 2010, and will of course be thrilled . Maybe it won't be such a long tour . After all leonard is 2 years older since the 73 year old ' kid with a crazy dream' who restarted touring in 2008 .
And of course if the management want to be sure of filling venues , that's almost guaranteed in small and mid size halls throughout the UK and Ireland !
My confidence in all that speculation - hard to say !

I have been checking both these - and Bratislava - on a regular basis. Tickets are still available for all three.

And there is another possibility...
Perhaps the problem isn't with Leonard at all. Perhaps Leonard and AEG are dissatisfied with the terms that various promoters have insisted on, and are trying to find alternative promoters for particular concerts. That might force re-scheduling.

Wendy,
Moscow seems to have a glich. Did you see this?
viewtopic.php?f=44&t=20757&start=15#p214036.
Someone must have been looking out for you when you decided not to purchase tickets for Moscow.
Still leaves the question of why Zagreb is gone from Jarkko's signature. Ooooo, I'm doing a Chicken Little. It's probably something as simple as him just not being able to make it now or some other simple explanation and we are reading all kinds of ominous forebodings into it

I don't feel there's any point in guessing; if any of us gets it right, it will be by luck. I am glad that I didn't go ahead with my Lille booking, which I intended to do yesterday, till I saw this thread.
If anyone feels like a bit of fun, throw your guesses at

Jarkko said:
The announcement/press release we are waiting for is not about new concerts.
So unless people think Jarkko is not being truthful, then shouldn't people have faith in what he "actually" posts and not speculate about the reason being new concert dates, which includes change of venue.
Jarkko said he will post in News, note, not World Tour 2010, so I hope it is not serious and Leonard will Tour, when he can.

"2010:...more!..."
This is a new, little, change, in Jarkko's post ..... But it means a lot :
Jarkoo is telling us there will be a 2010 TOUR !!!

Vicomte,
What I was trying to convey by change of venue is not a new concert. For example, if the concert for Katowice, was moved to Krakow, the ticket for Katowice would be honored in Krakow. It's probably just a matter of semantics in my way of thinking

. I'm not saying this is going to happen, just giving an example and might explain why Jarkko said what he did about flight plans.
Again, this is speculation and I know members are saying we should wait to see what Jarkko says, but, all this speculation and everyone's guesses - soooooo much fun

. Look at the renewed interest in posting

.
Kindest regards,
Mary

I was getting fed up with all the speculation - I've heard all the wild reports; they can't be right - but then I thought up some speculation of my own....maybe Jarkko said not to book flights because Leonard is coming to the UK????!!!! Well - it's just as likely as the other theories going around!!
Seriously, the only thing that really matters is that he is fit and well. I'm still looking forward to Lille, until I know any different!

i know that this sounds pathetic. anyway:
all these speculations about the tour being cancelled made me dream the other night. i dreamed that i was checking the forum for news on the tour and recognized that the "important imformation" (as announced by jarkko) is that they actually extended the tour. all to my benefit of course: there was berlin, there was hamburg, munich, frankfurt - anything you can dream of!
but for some reason i already suspected the dream to be a dream when a was still asleep.
you see:
i don' t live here with a woman and a child
but the situation makes me kind of nervous!
if i was religious, i could pray.
since i' m not, i can only wait...
greetings
