I hope this website is wrong as there is absolutely no way I can make a concert in Moscow on March 18 as someone has arranged a meeting I can't get out of for that day. However, I won't allow myself to be too disappointed until the date is officially confirmed as there seems to be every chance that this site has got it wrong (it appears to be a something of a tout site as they only have limited ticket allocations available).

Hm, I wanted to buy the ticket tomorrow (necause there is a very limited number of the tickets for that price), but now I don't know if I should wait for the confirmation or go and buy it. Maybe all the other tickets will be sold by another agencies or second-hand dealers? I'll try to call them tomorrow anyway...

heidalet...let's wait a week or so. There may "possibly" be more than one concert! We should know everything very very soon! I would wait just a little longer. I too want the best seats possible but will not go the way of touts or scalpers! As Jarkko always suggests....let's simply be patient for a few days! :D

ps...I would be doomed because I don't understand a single thing on that website!!!

That website for Moscow tickets is showing a date of March 18. Whether they are the official ticket agency, I can't tell. I was able to pull up tickets in the front row but way off to the sides. Best in center section was Row 22. Tickets go from around $116-$332. They allow you to pick and choose you seats (like in Phoenix, Venice...) so it looks kind of official to me but may not be because there are only certain rows in different sections available. There is a language convertor button in the upper left side above the calendar. I thought it said something under the biography about tickets only being available through the central office of Kassir. Don't know if this info is of any use to anyone. Where ever Vlasta is (or maybe Roman/pancogito), perhaps she can give everyone better insight into all this.

Well... I decided to wait for a couple of days, the only thing I was afraid of was that there wouldn't be any tickets left for that price, but we'll see (I don't want to buy them today because it's -18 outside :? ). The site looks kind of official to me as well, but I also can't understand that rows thing. However I've already found a few sites which offer the tickets too, so maybe there are several places where I can buy them (if the scalpers didn't buy everything already, as they often do).

MaryB, yeah, it said you can only buy tickets in the central office.

Hello MaryB and others,

I was out of my computer most of holidays and it seems things are happening. There is nothing wrong with that side. Kassir.ru is one of the official ticketing office in Russia so I tend to believe they know what they are selling /I bought some tickets from them for concerts here in St. Petersburg/. But anyway I try tomorrow to call the office and clear everything for us /it is still holiday here in Russia next week/, especially the date and way of buying and delivering/picking-up the tickets. Meanwhile, patience is a virtue, I think our dear Jarkko will also spread the word very soon.

OMG....Went back into the website and found the English translation. Thought perhaps I may get a jump on things as Row 3 Seat 13 did not seem too bad. Well, then discovered that 20,000 rubles is actually $673 USD!!!!!!! Russian people can afford this? Hopefully when the official announcement is made I may discover I've made a mistake. I know I can probably easily get a seat at the back but that's not where I wish to sit AND even the cheapest seats run $118 USD! Wow, with hotels in the $400-$600 range per night and tickets this expensive I may have to rethink Moscow!

Mary, where did you see the tickets for $332? Were those the mid-range tickets?

I'm afraid there were no mistake... Concert prices are usually more expensive in Russia than say Europe :S The cheapest tickets are for 3500 rubles and it's like $118, and tickets for $332 (I guess) are available for row 13, right and left side, and also row 22. There are also tickets for $150 (row 37), $166 USD (row 35), $200, $233 and $266 (row 24). I can only afford the cheapest sits probably, and I don't know if there is any sense in it as my mum says I won't see anything :?

Wow, were there no cheaper hotels available?! I don't know what kind of hotels you prefer, but maybe you'd better try to look for some hostel if you are not going for a long time? Or try this hotel? It doesn't look so expensive and it's not very far from the center of the city.

Heidalet,

I think Moscow is now off my itinerary unless a miracle happens! Thanks for the suggestion of a hostel but I didn't even stay in hostels when I was in my 20's! Guess I've always liked things a little more plush ;-)

My heart was set on Moscow as I'd been there in my early 20's AND at the Palace of Congresses for the Bolshoi, but think I will concentrate on some other venues now.

Good luck to you!

Well, these prices seem absolutely reasonable for Moscow.

haidalet - would you happen to know if the ticket link is an official source or a reseller?

With my limited knowledge of Russian, that's what I thought, but that site still allows me to go in, choose a seat and click on a purchase button. Since I was not interested in buying a ticket, I stopped there. Don't know what would happen beyond that if you try to purchase the ticket.
The way the tickets that are available that are selling doesn't make sense either. Yesterday, Row 40 Seats 21-29 was all yellow, today, seats are sold and why would someone buy 22 & 23, and not 21(aisle) & 22 instead.

Diana, sorry for the misunderstanding, I was quoting the prices shown for the center partierre. I just had a look at the left partierre availability and it is even more screwy. Front row costs less than second row and the second row seats are farther from the center! The whole thing makes no sense and it has nothing to do with a language barrier. heidalet is staying on top of it and all we can do is wait to see what Vlasta comes up with when she checks.

Thanks Mary! I think I will still wait until the official announcement from Jarkko...AEG...and Leonard's management. I know the Euro is probably in a better position than the dollar, but my heavens...these prices are incredible! There is NOOO way I could afford the "one" seat at over $700 USD, plus a hotel at over $500 per night for 3 or 4 nights! Let's bring back a little Communism :? As much as I wanted Moscow for the memories, unless something changes drastically, I HAVE to pass and hopefully catch up in some other city....if the best seats aren't $600 plus dollars. Will this follow into South Africa and South America and Australia? Otherwise...I will always have our beautiful concerts in America to remember...and that will be it! At this rate, even eastern Canada will probably be over $500 a seat! How did this happen?! Leonard....help.... Robert....help...what is going on?

i think i can hear france calling...tho even there the cheapest seats are about $120. i tell my friends that it's worth it, however, that the concerts are incredible and if, adnmittedly, they aren't quite as good as sex, nonetheless they last a lot longer!

Bob,

Don't know how much longer you can tell your friends it's worth it. There is a BIG price increase since the very start of the tour. Also, the NA (Spring) Tour 2009 was more expensive than the Summer Tour in Europe 2009. I agree with Diana, the prices are getting out-of-control. Even in Vegas, an usher commented that he was interested in the LC performance this particular show had the most expensive ticket prices to date. I know, we get a 3 hour performance, but it was almost 3 hours at the beginning of the tour also.

Yes, it's still worth every penny if you have not been to the concert, but I am one of those, (how did you categorize us multiple concert goers?) I think insane, who has this need to go again and again and again....... And of course, we will not be satisfied with balcony seats - nothing but primo seats for us LC crazies

Would be nice if someone took notice and put a stop to these rising prices. I do not relish the thought of living under a bridge, although if I had access to the forum while there, it wouldn't be so bad.

Kindest regards,
Mary
