My announcement was a bit delayed - I'm on the road and to my surprise didn't have any connection at the given time! Drove to a gas station and got hotspot connection there. The complete list of venues and pre-sales is in a separate thread now!

Hi

so thats what all the fush was about, why can something like that be announced when the announcement about it, was first announced. Why the big song and dance about the continuation of the tour.
It can lead to unnesssecary excitement and over use of the pc at work.

its great that he is going back to america, but i really do worry that he may be pushing himself to the limits of what any one man can do.

I must admit that given the (perhaps self-created) hype that surrounded 'the big announcement' I am a little underwhelmed.

That said, I'm pleased for all of the US fans who will get another chance to see him. He has made 3 trips to Europe on this tour and only 1 to the US so it seems only fair :D

To those who are "underwhelmed" or wonder what the "fuss" was about....too bad

Most of us are totally thrilled at the prospect of being able to see Leonard one more time....perhaps one last time. I doubt anything would put a damper on our excitement today! :D

All the best,
Diana

America is such a big place, people often have to travel a very long way to their nearest venue. Dublin is very lucky (as London has been in the past) that Leonard has done four concerts there just this week. I am trying hard not to be jealous in view of this, I live a short journey from London.
I expect Leonard is trying to be fair to all his fans and give them a reasonable chance to see him. Consideration must also be given to his musicians who need to plan their careers also, and if he wants to keep the band intact probably needs to provide continuity so that they don't go off and do other things and become unavailable. But I agree that it is all very hard work for a 74/75 year old, no matter how fit. From potentially 24th Sept to 17 Oct doesn't seem a long enough break, but I hope he is keeping to a pace he feels he can cope with. At the end of the tour I hope he has a really long break and have time to work on any books/music he is planning as well as relaxing and recouping. He really does love performing so maybe it is not such hard work to him as it appears to us.
