Sorry, Skejjer, if my comment came across as uncaring, or as a criticism, I understand that people have lives to live, and 'miles to drive' etc. I also would have telephoned to get the most current, most valid opinion as to Mr. Cohen's appearance. Unfortunately all information is unreliable. That's one of the 'cracks' in everything that Leonard sings about, and if this world were completely reliable and predictable some off us would probably blow our brains out.

It's not up to Leonard but up to The Point - whether or not it will be ready on December 1.
No final confirmation , no cancellation yet. We have to wait.

Re. Dublin: why the obsession with Dec. 1? Why not play the following Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights? Monday is a bad night for a concert anyway, especially for people travelling from 120 miles outside Dublin with work next day.

Dec 1 (2,3) are the last tentative days of the Fall leg, then it is over. They can't wait several days for the last concert(s) after the previous gig in Manchester on Nov 30.

AEG informed me some moments ago that Dublin will NOT happen.
The Fall tour ends in Manchester on November 30.

Hi Jarkko,
Tom Waits played Dublin recently in a circus tent. Seasick Steve is due to play in Kilmainham(where Leonard played) in October in a heated marquee. Any chance that AEG could arrange something similar?

probably gone past that stage now, merton. I am sure the new O2 would have loved leonard as the opening act and AEG would have loved it also, I expect it is as Jarkko said at the beginning it was the new O2 or nothing. Very upset now.

I doubt that the 'Dublin posts' will ever end.
They have become my cyber-home of sorts.
I suspect as long as anyone in this crowd
has anything to say to the crowd
it will continue,
a bizarre bonding
sort of like one of those
perpetual motion table toys.
