Two of us coming from Gloucester. I have slight veggie tendencies, but John will eat anything :)

Definitely NOT singing!

P - I have to agree with you about the smell of a bacon butty - it's just a pity that the taste never seems to match up, somehow :?

Andrew, that would be wonderful. Morris Dancing, and the silly walk. So much British culture in one evening. What a great shame you are not coming.

We'd love you to be there, especially as you have organised so many fine events of your own. We are just winging it, but I'm sure it will be a great evening.

Please bring your butterfly with you, Linmag 8) .

Have a wonderful event Diane and Ali. I know you will.
If I could have made it I would have been singing loud enough to offend everyone.
And the men...pete, p, tim and more....I'm so jealous of you!
Good Luck!!

Not to worry. Linmag is a butterfly 8) ... a gentle, sweet one :D .
Margaret is classy and rather shy 8) .

I'll be thinking of all of you ~ what a wonderful lead-in to Berlin. I'm also sorry to see that Cia and Wens won't be joining you. I hope everything is okay, and that Berlin's plans will go unimpeded.

I do hope that there will be at least one Silly Walk captured on video ~ or, at minimum, camera. Take lots and lots of photo, you guys [generic term ~ it's usually the women with the cameras ~ except for a few pros like Wijbe and Jarkko, and then there's Eija 8) , so we're back in the women's camp].

Much planning and even more goodwill has gone into this 8) .
It will be SPLENDID :D !!!

Love,
Lizzy :D

Partisan, I am not going there. I am looking forward to meeting you on Saturday, however.

Thank you, Dar. Will we meet you in Berlin?

Lizzy, I used to love photography and my dear old camera, until I gave into the fact that cameras are now computers and became very resentful and luddite about the whole thing. However, for the first time ever, I will be wielding a digital camera on Saturday. So, if I remember to switch it on etc, there should be plenty of pics 8) . I think many of the others are bringing cameras too, so I doubt that any notable moments will escape unrecorded  .

I am hurt, Diane. It took at lot of time and effort making another Bristol thread just for you. There is such a lack of gratitude in society these days.

Dear Phil ~
. . . gathering my loins for the m25 and m4
< * how many would you bringing *with* you? * >

Might there be a typo in there  ?

Is that the one where we stopped?

"Keep your mind on your driving, keep your hands on the wheel... / Keep your sleepy eyes on the road ahead... " ~ There's plenty of time for food when you arrive. Drive carefully, dear friend.

I've been accused of many things in my life, Lizzy, but that's a first :)

Diane, I'm afraid the butterfly doesn't travel too well in winter, but I will be bringing my camera!

 ~ Ah ~ firsts are good [well, generally, anyway :) ]. And, I had just added a tiny 'clarification,' with a couple words on Margaret. I enjoy describing people, and trying to find the 'correct' words for them.

Hello Bristolians,

I wish you the best party ever. I have an idea why you picked this date for the meeting on the peek of my winter depression when the only thing I manage to do is to turn on the TV and watch winter sports. I am already looking forward to the Olympic games in Turin soon, when the old rivalry of the three great nations in wintersports (Germany, Norway and England) will be resumed. Cheers to the Cohen fans. They are the smartest anyways.

Oh dear, I would not wish to offend such a sensitive soul as yourself. Thank you for building that exquisite thread for me, p. I love it just the way it is.

Good luck with your journey, Phil. Can't wait to meet you. There will be plenty of food when you arrive, there's no need to eat overpriced service station muck.
Diane, I'm afraid the butterfly doesn't travel too well in winter, but I will be bringing my camera!
Linmag, I get the feeling that every time someone gets up to do their silly walk, there will be more flash bulbs going off that at a London fashion show  .

Lizzy, Margaret is one of the people I cannot wait to meet. I also can't wait to see those who are performing especially for us 8) . Is it really only tomorrow  ?

Henning, I almost missed your post. Thank you for your good wishes! As for having a meet in the depths of winter - what better way to brighten things up!? And as for sport, all I can say is: "England !!"

Safe journey everyone. See you soon!

Well, I wasn't going to say anything ~ however, Phil and I did opt to share  !
Lizzy, Margaret is one of the people I cannot wait to meet.
Oh good :D ~ You'll like her :D !!!

Tomorrow.....Tomorrow.....TOMORROW!!!!!

The lead-up to this has been wonderful! I'm so happy for you all!!! Such a splendid thing it is when people, who have met through a medium such as this, finally get to meet in person 8) :D ! Off-key, on-key, any ol' kinda key ~ makes no difference ~ ENJOY :D !!!

Love,
Lizzy

Well, John, I might have known that if anything was going to get you back on this thread, that would. I am English by birth, so tend to support England. But I am more than happy for Wales to come a very close second, along with Ireland. We will, no doubt, continue this discussion tomorrow (in England) .

We certainly will enjoy, Lizzy, thank you.

Love,

Diane :D
