Yes, shocking if true.

i am confused. adam was with leonard during a press conference on 13th october 2016, 25 days before his father's death.

And prior to this press conference Adam and Leonard worked closely together for months to produce the album.

Very confusing and hard to get any feel of what is really happening. Let’s hope it will be solved without a public mud throwing contest.

one explanation could be that leonard had other children besides the two that are known, and it is those to which the document refers.

As someone who has had some involvement in the Will & Trust arena in Los Angeles for many years, what strikes me is that the three main parties, Kory, Adam & Lorca, are each being represented by the very cream of the crop in terms of legal representation. This is heavy duty litigation.

ADAM COHEN, ET AL. VS ROBERT B. KORY, ET AL. - Another managerial betrayal?

I was doing some reading about Leonard's legal problems and came across the deeply disturbing news that Adam and Lorca Cohen are now suing Robert Kory alleging he has abused his position as executor of the Cohen Trust. Kory, as we know, came into Cohen's life when a previous manager, Kelley Lynch, embezzled Leonard's life savings, so it is doubly horrifying, if true, that he too betrayed the trust of Leonard and his children. Does anyone (Jarkko?) know more about this? Here are links to the lawsuit and a recent news story:

judging from the amount of interest this message has generated, it can be assumed that few people are occupied with the internal quarreling over leonard's estate. for those involved it is surely an important matter, yet does not really affect the admiration one may hold for the legacy he left behind.

Well said, Geoffrey.

The crumbs of love that you offer me
They're the crumbs I've left behind

I, for one, am glad that he left all those crumbs behind.
I listen to his music every day and it fills me with joy every day.
There are a few people that I am delighted to have shared time with on this planet, and Leonard Cohen is top of that list.

thank you so much, alan. to be honest, i am not really a list-maker. i just know that if i were then your name, along with everyone else here, would all share a joint position in the number one slot.

back to the matter at hand:
leonard's manager and offspring are communicating, albeit through lawyers, and that does not need to be a totally negative situation. they are intelligent individuals, and if a compromise or other amicable understanding is at all possible, then i am sure they would see it as an acceptable conclusion. to remain friends is always the most important goal of any disagreement.
