This is pretty amazing. A Perfect companion to Live in Dublin.

Jarkko, any idea why "I've Got a Little Secret" was cut from LID, and held for this one?

"Stages" is a funny story Leonard told on stage in Sydney, followed by a jazzy version of Tower of Song.

That sounds intriguing. - Where was the Jazz Police when that happened?

Look, what did I find in today's Finnish press!
Cohen työskentelee parhaillaan tuottajansa Patrick Leonardin kanssa myös uusien laulujen parissa, ja toiveissa on saada uusi studioalbumi valmiiksi tämän vuoden aikana.
Cohen is currently working with his producer Patrick Leonard on a couple of new songs, and hopes to bring a new studio album completed in a year.

Sounds like it is really good, but I thought he recorded "Feel so Good" on this Album. I was looking forward to that song.

This sounds so good - I'm really looking forward to hearing this one. And "Never Gave Nobody Trouble" is available for download here in the US on Amazon.

What do we think of the new song? Pleasant and listenable without being anything special would be my initial take. Sound quality seems a step up from Live in Dublin thankfully.

I'm a little tired of these blues songs. They all sound exactly the same.

He may well have come up with and rehearsed a few basic blues songs at this time . For whatever reason he decided to offer ' got a little secret ' in concert .Never gave nobody trouble sounds very similar to me . Neither are great cohen songs but still like them both, and it's been an unexpected pleasure to listen to a ' new cohen song ' today .
So glad there are some other ' genuinely great' songs on this collection and look forward to hearing them- especially joan of arc , night comes on, can't forget , and la manic
Great playing by the band and on the one example we so far have a reasonable recording and production.

Never Gave Nobody Trouble.... not a stand out. Have to agree that the blues-y Cohen sound isn't my favourite.

Love the concept of the new album. Slightly disappointed that there's not one or two others on there - Stranger Song has always been a favourite of mine in particular. But, can't complain. It's all gravy.

I think it's very exciting that Leonard is releasing an album like this, it's a great track list and will show another side of his performance, one that very few of us have been lucky enough to witness, the live rehearsal and warm-up before the show! :)
