There's something about DrHGuy's wording; 'too complex, painful, and sad,' which suggests to me that we are all better off not knowing what's really been happening here. Let's just think about the music!

Oh, this is awful. I miss it so much. Jarkko, is there any way the problems DrHGuy encountered can be solved?

That's a terrible news !
boths sites are closing at the same time, in a similar manner, promising to be opened as private sites ? ....
I suspect some under-employed lawyers are trying to extort money from people passionate about their hobby. It's outragous and against the idea of Internet as a medium for exchange of free, uncensored information. Of course lawyers can use their professional knowledge, and (presumably) a lot of free time, both scarce among regular people. I wish somebody would take them to court as outlined in one of 'Getty extortion scheme' posts linked in Marie's thread.
I'm very sorry to read this news, hope there is a lawyer among LC fans who will provide guidelines for dealing with this situation...... from the other hand however, who has time to put themselves through futile legal procedures on top of maintaining such a complex repositorium as Marie and Allan ?

Oh. I used to be a magazine Picture Editor, many years ago. I think I know what's happening. That's very sad.
