Wendy, thanks for commenting on this. I too hope that Anthem will be included.
Somewhere, someone has asked if the tour is becoming stale. I'd whisper "No! No! No!" ..... but 'if you want to play a little longer, we'll stay' ... to hear:
Anthem
The Faith
Teachers
Master Song
Different Sides
Take This Longing
The Night Comes On
and ...............??
Hope we'll support the musicians with wild appreciation ...
A XX

I always felt Anthem was an integral part of the set, but if famous blue raincoat doesn't return I will be most disappointed. My all time favourite track, and he only played it one of the times i've seen him so far.

Don't worry James - my mistake! Famous Blue Raincoat WAS played in Bournemouth. I was struggling so much with hotel internet last night I didn't realise I'd missed it off the set list.
Sorry about that. Still no Anthem though.

Ain't you a star! Still, Anthem as the last track of the first set was always a lovely moment for me in the past. Never seen lover... though, and I love that. Hell, can he not do a Kraftwerk and play every album??

Just noticed this thread, and agree that without "Anthem" the heart seems to have been torn out of the concert. I also regret the exclusion of "Sisters of Mercy" " "I Can't Forget", "Hey That's Now Way To Say Goodbye", and "Heart With No Companion". What remains is excellent of course, but overall the set-list is a lesser one.

Having reflected on this, I think I realise what's missing - namely the absence of some of Leonard's most deeply spiritual songs - for instance Anthem, Sisters of Mercy, Coming Back To You, Show Me the Place, and Whither Thou Goest. The difference in the set is marginal though - from the sublime and transcendental to the supremely excellent!
