Dear Lizzy (I Am A Party) tysh,
You are wrong on two counts.
1. My professional ethics are very personal.
2. I can understand "cannot." As in, I cannot understand why you would plainly state "I would be the party itself" and then take umbrage at my suggestion of a visit. I assure you my interest is merely professional. I remember a former patient (an elderly Canadian) who once declaimed "I Am A Hotel." He got over it. You can too. With my help.

Dear YDF ~
It is with regret that I now find it necessary to make an official referral for you to the Employee Assistance Program [EAP]. This is being done due to either your inability or unwillingness to follow directives. You have previously been made aware that further communications by yourself are to be directed to the director of the hospital. It has also been suggested that you make a self-referral to the EAP. You have not complied in either circumstance.
It is necessary for the effective and efficient administration of this hospital that appropriate channels be followed. If it becomes necessary, the personnel office will be forwarding you a cease-and-desist directive as regards your continuing communications with me. I have already made the conflict of interest clear to you. Should the aforementioned procedure become necessary, you will receive a formal reprimand, which will be a permanent part of your personnel file.
Your continued attempts to communicate directly with me cannot and will not be tolerated. This letter constitutes my final response to you. Your cooperation in this matter is strongly advised.
I wish you the best.
Sincerely,
Lizzytysh

Dear Lizzytysh,
You have become very fluent in bureaucratize. But however charmingly you write, I remain unmoved. Are you not aware that I am self-employed? That I do not require and have never required the services of the EAP or any other accursed governmental acronym. You forget yourself! You are the patient Lizzytysh. I am the Great Freud! I was the one who obtained the trustee position at the hospital for you ---the same position that you now have the temerity to bully me with. How sharper than a serpeants tooth is an ungrateful Lizzytysh!

Dear Critic2 ~
I have just completed PMs to all three ~ LaurieAK, Medusafern, and Martine. I hope to hear back from them. I will be attempting emails, as well, as soon as possible. However, I have somewhere I must be in 15 minutes, so don't have time at the moment. I will let you know if/when I hear anything from any of them. Hopefully, they will come directly to the Forum and speak for themselves.
Isn't there some kind of concession clause for opting out on 'defending' my shared title? I really have no interest in launching such a 'defense.'

Hi Critic2 ~
I've heard from Martine, and the crucial thing she said for these purposes was:
"I'm really not 'qualified' to judge anyone's poetry ~ please choose someone else for this position!

" ~ however, she does intend to try to participate once it's underway.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything from Laurie and/or Hillary.

Well, what about jarkko acting as an intermediary, and LC fulfilling the judge's role?!
But dreams never come true. Or do they?

so perhaps now i can sleep
and dream of those with the time
to compete

My dear Patients,
Re: Intermediaries and Judges
Finnish accountants are the very soul of rectitude. The Canadian Artist in question has over come his fixation on being a building that provides overnight accomodations. Therefore, I give my assent for this Asylum to procede with the contest. It will be very therapeutic. But be warned! I will be watching the results narrowly and will be able to detect any and all subterfuge, and deception. You know who you are. I know who you are. All of you.

A new poetry contest? Forgive my late installment of delight - I've been indisposed and won't be disposed (?) OK - of - until late next week. Hooray! I just hope that I will be as brave then, as I am now. Thanks C2. That is a fine idea.

Sorry, folks, I've only had time to just take a quick glance at what's been written so forgive me if I repeat (what someone else said, I mean). We need PRIZES! Big ones! Cars, trips, you know, cash! If not big ones, how about little ones, like an LC T-shirt (silly but it makes a person feel as though they've participated when they lose).
Young dr. Freud: We've not met but I'm sure you'll find me to be tightly wound ball of confusion and denial. Probably something to do with my upbringing. At least that's what I tell people.
This is great (she says some time away from the actual
writing.) When I get back it will probably be over! I'm so
wily. No, I'll be here and I will do what I said I would do. I'm looking forward to it. Do you have any openings for phobia sessions, Young dr. Freud?

Oh, dear. I've had time to skim a little more closely (although I haven't read every line of every post). Did I see something that said contestants cannot write in cliches? This is going to prove to be a most formidable task, then. I saw something else that made my mouth go dry. Hmmm, looks like unless I establish a psychic link with Emily Dickinson, I may as well hum taps, right now. When I get back, I'm sure there will be many more posts to be afraid of. Interrupt the passage of my creative flow. Hee, hee. One foot in front of the other, then. See you all.
