I would have loved to listen to this but, after a trying day trying to get home from Copenhagen after SAS cancelled my flight, I really couldn't face the late night.

Did anyone record it? Or do you know if it is available anywhere as a podcast etc?

Thanks

Wendy

Thanks Joe,
for filling in the first bit I unfortunately missed and also reporting on all the night's happenings. I reckon you all had a special treat 8)
I think that was the first time I've heard Alex speak without his violin :)

..... and Maarten, I'm now relaxing and staying very finely tuned ;-)

First the apology: The twice-promised link to the live streaming was never sent to me and consequently it was not posted. I am sorry for the hassles this created.

Now the good news: While I was attending this event in Austin, Maarten Massa was rousting himself from bed at 2:30 AM to record the live streaming. Maarten points out that “There’s a slight delay in the sound (not perfectly sync with the video) and there are -I believe- 2 small glitches of 1-2 seconds in the streaming.” I have, however, viewed the video and it is, minor flaws and all, a treat you don’t want to miss.

Finally, from the announcements last night, it appears KUT (who sponsored the event) will make the video available in the future but this is still a tad vague. I will try to pin down the specifics.

I was at the wonderful Sylvie Simmons Panel event last night but was late arriving after my flight form LA.
Sylvie emailed, knowing I would arrive late, that she would reserve a front row seat for me so I could take videos.
Unfortunately, when I arrived, someone else had snagged my seat. So I had to take videos with heads blocking me.
I am glad Maarten captured the podcast. As I missed the first part, I look forward to watching the whole event.

Here are some of my raw videos taken from the side section.

It should start at 830pm EDT.....730pm CDT. About another 20 minutes. Hopefully this works.

Diana & Linda, thank you so much for your responses! I didn't see your links before the time that the program started, but I saw that I could access the event through the KUT website, so all is well!

The whole thing was absolutely wonderful! The instrumental of Nancy was a very interesting surprise, & the arrangement & playing of it was really very elegant, touching & beautiful. All the musical performances were great, & I also esp. loved all the stories the band members told about how they met Leonard, it was so lovely to hear Alex speak for the first time, & also to hear everyone in speaking mode - they are all so eloquent & expressive & funny. . . It's really so generous of them to do something like this, when they have such a demanding concert schedule coming up, so I would just like to express my gratitude to them for such a special & inspiring evening.

Last night's event was so intimate. To hear all the musicians in the band (not Neil unfortunately) play and sing was incredible. The rapport between them appeared to be good. The whole evening was a delight. The venue was very small and packed. Afterwards there was a chance to talk with each one of them and to meet Sylvie. I am glad it is available to view again and thanks Arlene for your videos.
And now on to the concert tonight!
Thank you KUT and Rebecca (MC) and Roscoe for organizing the event last night and all the band members.
