Thanks everyone...your input is really helpful. The comments that many of you are including in the survey are giving me terrific insights on what it takes to create and maintain a positive community

As a sociologist myself, I was more than happy to complete this survey which has some very interesting questions. I wish you success with the thesis and hope that you will stay a part of this forum and post links to any work which reports the results of your research. Paul

Thank you so much...this is certainly one of the most supportive communities I have yet asked to participate, and I am excited to see the results. I will certainly post a link to my findings when they are written up (I'm hoping the have this done by the end of the year.)

The questions make you appreciate the qualities of this forum, some of which we take for granted when we shouldn't.

With 600 views of this thread, I'm hoping that there are people who have read it and then gone and completed the survey, but just not necessarily have reported back here that they had. As others have noted, it is such a GOOD one and forces you to reflect on how it is to be a part of this Forum. There are so many of us... she should get some very interesting results!
