could i join the vine, somewhere along the european line, please ?

i listened to so many concerts, lately (now O2, dublin), and every time there's different accents, voice, public response, ... so you make me curious when saying that sound quality, too, is so good, on this recording ; although i often feel that the better sound quality, the more intimacy, nuance, you loose ; that's why i prefer live audience recordings to "official" ones : they're too clean, part of the magic of the moment is lost, little "mistakes" are sometimes more meaningfull than perfection ; giving an idea about how exhaustive three days of concerts must be ; the tiredness, or crispness of the voices, you feel, when you're in front of the stage, is washed out, on "professional" live-cd's ; i think that "live in london" would be better, when recorded "in" the audience.

anyway, i hope i can still join this vine

pe,

... precisely ...

US branch:
LisaLCFan -> Cheshire gal -> mwaldman -> mutti

Euro-branch:
neo -> Wimmer -> FOXWOOD -> Davido -> rvandewiel -> Maarten -> pe swijngedouw -> leonardthecat

I updated the vine structure and added Wimmer after myself as she lives in my home town. This should speed up things a bit as we avoid the discs traveling zig zag through Europe.
I hope you all agree to that.

I hate to be a nuisance, but as a very proud Canadian (I share a homeland with Leonard Cohen!!), perhaps "North American branch" would be more accurate? ;-)

I'm sorry for that! I did write this pm in a hurry, but that should not count as an excuse either. I prefer to call it North American branch too, and I like that this branch grows from Canada into the US as my second favorite Canadian is Marshall McLuhan...

Hey, I'll repeat what I said above, since an edit doesn't revive the thread. The CDs are now en route to Cheshire Gal!

You guys are going to LOVE this concert! It is really wonderful! :D Thanks to everyone involved for sharing it with us!

I have received the Salzburg recording directly from Ken. So, in order to speed things up, I can start a UK thread. This seems to have worked well in the past. Any objections/suggestions?

UK branch : Davido -> FOXWOOD -> leonardthecat
Euro mainland branch : neo -> Wimmer -> rvandewiel -> Maarten -> pe swijngedouw
US & N American branch: LisaLCFan -> Cheshire gal -> mwaldman -> mutti

I'm not 100% sure about it, but I think that Wimmer has already sent the discs to FOXWOOD...

I have PM'd Wimmer to check. If the discs are on their way to FOXWOOD, that's OK - I can just be bypassed on the vine. No problem.
ps - I have just heard from Wimmer that the discs are on their way to FOXWOOD. So it's best to leave as is:
neo -> Wimmer -> FOXWOOD ->rvandewiel -> Maarten -> pe swijngedouw ->leonardthecat
