Well, here we are again. I can’t believe that this year has passed so quickly. A truly remarkable one for you and me. Here’s to another year of continuing good health and good fortune. Just know the high regard I have for you and your work will never diminish, it just gets stronger. Have the best ever birthday!!

Last year I decided to draw a portrait of you as a birthday present and to celebrate your Isle of Wight release. This year I thought I would do something similar; as a birthday present and also to celebrate your imminent release of Songs of the Road. In keeping with the monochromatic simplicity of the cover I wanted to do a simple sketch to compliment it – one with a feeling of anonymous familiarity.

The pencil of time has drawn lines on my face, so please forgive me if I again draw some lines on yours!
