I don't think anyone in their right mind could call the UK a "desert oasis". "The island" could very well refer to the UK but I am pretty certain that both the UK and Canada were ruled out some time ago.

My guess: Location #1 - Honolulu, Hawaii (island); location #3 - Las Vegas, Nevada (desert oasis)

Since California has been ruled out, not sure where location #2 will be. Lots of great possible venues between Honolulu and Las Vegas. South America (Buenos Aires)? Central America (Mexico City)?
