The discs are moving along. I Just forwarded the set to swan 13.

When I received the package there were 2 sets of cd's (each set is 3 discs) and one is marked alternative cd version. The previous person and myself were a bit puzzled as to what the difference might be.

After trying to copy the first disc of the standard set I found an error message that my blank cd of 80 minutes was not big enough in minutes/space to fit it on. When I put it in a cd player it showed up as exactly 80 minutes, the exact size of the blank disc. Some of you may be able to overide this some way, but I expect the 2nd copies were made with a minor adjustment to shorten the time on the first disc (now 79 minutes 14 seconds) so it will copy to most blank cdr's.

Philip, don't worry, the vine is moving well and it shouldn't be too long before the person in front of you sends them to you.

I see Margaret has commented on the 2nd set of discs in the UK vine package. We added the second set of discs to the vine so, as I was the first person to receive the UK vine, everyone should have received both sets. The original discs had gaps, fades and "clicks" between the tracks. I prefer my music to flow as in a concert without gaps etc between tracks so Tony cut these out electronically. Nothing to do with reducing the length of the CDs though this may have been an additional benefit for some people. We then decided to include our "alternate" set of discs in the package in case anyone else felt the same way as we do about "gaps".

The UK vine seemns to have ground to a halt. Does anyone know the current whereabouts of the discs?

I think I should have been next in line after swan13 but no discs as yet .
