in fact when you listen to it you you will only hear those words..... have a listen, you must have a copy in the house? ..you won't be able to tell what he is really singing. I've checked the real lyrics and still can't hear the right words.
Now I've really spoilt it.

I certainly laughed at "messy ocean tides" (LC line)! I wasn't familiar with that particular Paul Simon song, but now I'll have to check it out.

Pete - being British with the toilet sense of humour we have I laughed at the Gracelands extract. That is how base my sense of humour is. In fact I have just read it again and it made me laugh again. I must take stronger medication

Oh boy, thanks for the laugh... ...I haven't laughed so hard at myself for a while! I finally twigged that the line Mamalex heard as 'something blonde' - you & I heard as 'silken/something glove/gloved' were one and the same! "something blunt" 
. OK, so it's 2 that I misheard, not 1. Hee hee, wonder if there's more?

Well, I think it is the number one Leonard misconstued lyric so far.
"Something blonde " gets my vote for funniest. Gives me a chuckle every time.
