How wonderful! When I first glanced at that picture I thought Leonard was wearing wooden clogs (did I simply 'see' what I was expecting to see?), the sort of austere footwear one would expect a monk to wear. The juxtaposition between the practical modern footwear and the flowing ancient robes is just lovely, and so like Leonard at his most playful.

The magazine is great. Wonderful photographs. I'm English living in France learning French so it will be good for me to try and read. The cd is very average. It certainly isn't 'I'm Your Fan'. Starts well with a track from I'm Your Fan.' Ian McCulloch good, 16 Horsepower okay, Johnny Cash pretty dreadful, Lemonheads good, Close Lobsters and then Jonathan Richman don't interpret the songs they just destroy them, Don Nino and Lambchop slightly better than Lobsters and Richman but don't give up the day job and take up singing full time, Marissa Nadler good.
The cd reminds me of the one with Mojo (I think it was) in late 2008 a disappointment.
The magazine is worth getting though and makes up for the rather dubious cd.

I got my copy yesterday - this is indeed a must for any serious LC collector. Even if you don't speak French (I don't), the photos are
worth the price alone!

Does anyone know if it is it possible to only order one copy?
I went to the mentioned site and it appeared to only let me order 3...

However, I am not sure whether that works for special editions as well, as for the Leonard one; personally, I cannot find it (yet)...

They also have got a review on the LC special, i.e. out-of-series collectors' edition, but this only says that it is available at "kiosks"...

Well, this might be an explanation - but I am not completely sure, for it seems you can already order the most recent "regular" magazine, which has only appeared today...
