neil strauss's book unfavourably reviewed in current private eye magazine - edition 1289.

...the effect is wholly disorientating. with no dates, no context and no explanation of the circumstances surrounding each interview...

reviewer is sceptical about alleged friendships strauss claims to have struck up with interviewees.

e.g. assertion that leonard cohen implores him to give him a call.
