I've been to three concerts this year - Dublin, Edinburgh and Glasgow - and would have loved to have heard Alexandra Leaving.......... Not to worry though, all the others were wonderful!!!

Memories for Dino Soldo

Last night I listened to the MEMORIES on Field Commander Cohen CD, and I realised it would be great with Dino Soldo on saxes, and Mas on mandolin plus Larsen's keyboards/organs. Maybe in little slower rhythm, but Leonard's voice is now great for this song.

Famous Blue Raincoat is a must... it's so beautiful. it's sad they left it out the live cd.

One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong would also be beautiful. I'd also like to hear Dress Rehearsal Rag

"The Land of Plenty" would be an agreeable choice.

Night Comes on..
It's sort of talking to the ghost.(Talking to his dead mother, actually)
It might sound really haunting now when his voice got a bit hoarse....
No he very rarely performs it. (Perhaps it's too personal.....)

Apart from some of those already mentioned, I would like to hear:

The Window
Coming Back to You
I Can't Forget

All good things, John E

I don't think he has sung Heart With No Companion on the last two European tours but that is one song I'd like to hear -without excluding anything else of course.

I would love to see The Gypsy's Wife back in the set list. What better place than Barcelona, Javier's hometown, where his artistry can be showcased even more.

I'm still reeling from two inspiring nights in Dublin - Wednesday and Thursday. Perhaps the last time I'll see Leonard in concert will be in Lisbon next week. Our son is coming with us to the concert. I asked him what he'd like to hear. Well he could have knocked me out -Memories.
Two from a myriad of questions - what influences the set list, what made Leonard exclude Famous Blue Raincoat for so long.
I can't help thinking that when L.C. thanks the audience for keeping his songs alive a spontaneous feeling for me is that I/we should thank him -in many ways his music is a profound and loving teacher.
