a little credit for Eastern Canada in the article -

Although the Toronto show is being dubbed Cohen's official return to the stage, the Montreal-native has been performing since May, warming up his vocals at smaller venues throughout Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.

Dick could not have said it better PURE BLISS! It was perfect; Leonard , his band, Sharon and the Webb Sisters were in great form.
And it was great meeting Dick and Linda and the other Forum members before and after the concert. It was a fantastic evening!

More description please! :) Do the hoodies have the concert poster image, or something else? I'm so excited!

I am devouring everything about Toronto as I was originally going to the June 8 show but ended up selling my ticket. Even though I'll be see him instead in Lyon (July 9), I feel wistful reading about Toronto because I had a great orchestra seat! Bottom line is, like someone else here said, I'd love to follow him around the world.

I'm not sure about the "smaller venues" comment the Sony Centre isn't exactly huge and is about the same size as Hamilton Place, Centre in the Square and (I presume) some of the Down East Venues.......doesn't really matter anyway we all got to see him and the band......

Sounds like you had us for dinner Dick. :D You were looking blissed out. It was great to meet you too friscogrl.

It is still a bit of a blur but the Toronto Star pretty covered it well. At the risk of saying what has already been said before, I was impressed with how well structured the whole concert was, with interludes of Leonard chatting the audience up, individual solos, the recital of 'A Thousand Kisses Deep', and the crowd favourites at regular intervals. The Webb sisters' harmonies were beautiful. Leonard breathes new life into each song - Hallelujah was a standout (with all the verses) no one can sing it the way he can. The sound was great. Leonard also appeared to really enjoy the audience interaction.

Will remember this for a long time (at least until Alzheimers gets me).

Oh mnkyface, it's a hoodie without a hood (what are they called?) and it is very plain with a small embroidered disc of the interlocking hearts with tour 2008 written around it sown onto the right chest. I would call the colour dark grey. They only had it in men's sizes.

What more can be said? Friday night's concert was a truly glorious experience. Leonard was in finer form than I could have ever imagined. His voice was rich, confident and as eloquent as everas was his graciousness, humility and humor. The band and singers were impecible and the synergy between them all was so evident. They all seemed to be really enjoying each other, and bright smiles lit their faces each time they heard the reception that the very appreciative audience gave them.

Adding to the wonderful night was the chance to see some old forum friends and meet some new ones over good food and drink.

I took a number of pictures (no obnoxious flash though) and would love to share them with you.
If you are interested, I have set it up so that you can freely download these pictures and even get prints from Photoworks if you want. In order to download any of the pictures, you have to click on "more choices" on the top of the page, then choose "save album". You have to set up your own free account. Once you do this, you will have the choice of downloading any of the pictures.
