I love Tchocolatl!

Two people had already sent me the article, but for some reason, it didn't have the picture with it. It's sure is a great interview (and picture).

A friend is lending me her appartment right at metro Sherbrooke (with swimming pool, thank god, since I can't stand that Montreal heat), so I will definitely be there for the tribute and more!

This summer is starting very well!

It is a kind of cure for love because for once I prefer the work of somebody else, I mean I prefer Gershwin's summertime to LC&SR's. Ah. I am thinking about a version by Janis Joplin. There is many other gorgeous performances by other chanteuses. Talk to me about a summer heat song!!

Although I can't stand the heat, I am not going to complain about it after the winter we had, I'll just be all the more happy to go for a dip in the pool in between concerts.

Lhasa de Sela et Michel Pagliaro s'ajoutent à la liste des artistes qui participeront à la soirée «Chapeau Mr. Cohen : Hommage à Leonard Cohen» présentée le 26 juin dans le cadre du Festival de jazz de Montréal.

Le chanteur du groupe canadien Barenaked Ladies Steven Page; Adam Cohen, le fils de Leonard, ainsi que Joe Lovano participeront également à ce spectacle.

La présence de Katie Melua, Madeleine Peyroux, Garou, Chris Botti, Serena Ryder, Buffy Ste-Marie, Zachary Richard et Thomas Hellman avait déjà été annoncée.

Ce spectacle gratuit sera présenté à l'angle des rues Sainte-Catherine Ouest et Jeanne-Mance à 21h30.

Selon La Presse, Leonard Cohen n'y participera pas. Il se produira toutefois à la Place des Arts les 23, 24 et 25 juin, tout juste avant le début du Festival international de jazz de Montréal. Celui-ci se déroulera du 26 juin au 6 juillet.

Well, you know what they say "the only thing constant is change". No Leonard Cohen for the tribute, now Well, I may assist but...As he will be there only in... Spirit... But this tribute should be great, anyway with this brochette of artists.

Now I'm starting to try to guess what each artist will sing... I wonder about Pag especially, even though I don't have any of his albums I know he gives a good show, but Leonard Cohen? Should be really interesting.

According to what I have read, Leonard will not be present at the tribute since he will be actively preparing the second leg of his european tour,BUT three songs of his june 23rd show will be officially filmed,and projected on a giant screen during the tribute evening.

Thanks to try to comfort me, Darling. Now that I have plenty of time to think that I will see Leonard Cohen on a stage - and as the date is next week, I'm so excited. What an event. It is not just another concert. I have to calm down a little, take a deep breath.

So the tribute still looks like a cool thing, but...you know.

Ah! How interesting this film projection thanks for the information Vermontvelo!!!! (ey! Vermont is such a beautiful state with all those mountains in the mist and their shades of green during the summer, and all that magnificent colors in the automn.) I agree, the projection of the whole show would have been a must. Encore!

I read that information in La Presse newspaper.Incidently it is to be hoped that the entire show will have been recorded for an eventual DVD release,and not only the three songs to be screen projected at the tribute evening.

As it was mentioned in another thread, this tribute concert as well as parts of LC's concert held the day before will be broadcast on French-German TV channel Arte on 14th July at 22:40 and again on 29th July.
