Damn, hotels are expensive in Copenhagen :(
After much consideration, I booked 3 nights at Hotel 27. Not the cheapest of choices, but I also didn't want to stay in a run-down motel just to save a couple of euros.

Jeg har tænkt mig at spille cohen sange om eftermiddagen på strøget i københavn og skal så til koncerten om aftenen.
Dagen efter vil jeg gøre det samme i Århus

I Will be playing Cohen songs greatest in Copenhagen during the day and later attend the concert, same thing the day after in Århus

I bought my plane tickets today, coming from Seattle in the USA... Following Leonard and the weekend in Copenhagen I go to Germany to see Neil Young, then on to Lisbon for another weekend with Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

I am very excited to visit Copenhagen, and plan on staying at hostel not far from the venue. I have heard Copenhagen is expensive, but I think I will enjoy just walking through the city and taking in the sights.

I am open to meeting up with members of this board or other fans before or after the show --- if any locals could recommend a pub or coffee house near the venue that would be helpful!

Hello all,

Peter ~ :( I am sorry, very much, we will not be able to go to Århus, we will come to Copenhagen on the same 5th around 11 am, we will be near the venue too. We won't have time or car.

HarryO ~ Yours is the Great Tour, congratulations.

andreigheorghe ~ Already our two tickets have come by post, are standard (Kr. 775), it does mean "standing tickets"? I hope that we could have a seat. I suppose that we must go early to get a good place... in the courtyard... :?

I have never been in Copenhagen, but as good tourist already I have bought my guide and I begin the trip just now. There is a place, near Rosenborg, which seems to me cool: Dan Turèll in Store Regnegade 5 (aesthetics inspired by the decade of 1970), or maybe Christiania...

OK guys, now we are closer to the date we all are waiting for :D
How many want to meet before the concert?
Anyone for some food? Or only drinks?
Where to meet? I come in from Sweden (live there work in Copenhagen) by train, easier to park ;-)
What do you think?

Looking forward to meet you all,

Jette

I will also be in Copenhagen for the concert and would love to meet up. I have never been before so am happy to go with the flow.
I also have a spare for the Golden Circle if anyone is interested in buying at face value. J.

We're going to Copenhagen. My husband is Danish and has family there, so we'll even have a place to stay. But we'd love to celebrate with other fans after the concert. He might even be able to lead us around the city to hot spots.

You can contact me at Olga_stefan@hotmail.com to make arrangements to meet. We're so excited about this concert. Leonard has been one of the most consistently meaningful creative forces in my life since the age of 14, when I discovered him in an interview on NPR.

Jonesy:

Interested in your Golden Circle ticket as an upgrade. I can probably get rid of mine later on...
I arrive in Copenhagen on 3 July and can meet anytime after that and before the afternoon of show.

Contact me off-list please at mail@harryo.com

Also would like to meet up with Jette and others... Looking forward to this.

Extra ticket available CHEAP. I bought the regular GA ticket instead of Golden Circle and now I want to upgrade. Will sacrifice this ticket for much less than face value. If you or anyone you know would like to buy it, I can meet in Copenhagen from 3 July on.

Email me for details if you want. mail@harryo.com

Hope to meet up with some of you friendly folks in Copenhagen. Let's work out a plan... It's coming up sooner than we think!

Cheers,
HarryO - Seattle, WA

Perfect for me. I will be there!

Now, what time? 1,2 km is enough nearby, maybe about 15 minutes. But we have to think that the seats are unnumbered (well, ours are not) and it would be advisable be early to take a good place. Did I say seats? I do not have many hopes, this can be what in motor sports is called the pelouse. I don't know. That one must be enormous, still they are selling tickets. Let's expect to see Leonard on giant screens, as Dublin.

It will be easy to recognise me, for this day I will dress the full equipment of Leonard Cohen's fan. :D
