Catering...? I've read (on here, I'm sure) that there will be a range of food outlets at Lissadell... does anyone have the definitive on this? I wasn't at Kilmainham, but maybe those who were could advise whether one was permitted to take food & drink into the venue (I'm still thinking of my champagne picnic, but I'd hate to be told I couldn't bring it in.... ) and/or whether the food available was good (I'm sure it'll be expensive, so I won't bother asking about that!)... I'm assuming that what pertained at Kilmainham will apply at Lissadell but again, if anyone has the definitive...?

Now, I don't want to be accused (again!) of being a pessimist... I was merely pointing out that weather forecasting in this neck of the woods is almost impossible... the forecast for Sligo now looks like this....

BUT, I have every confidence it will change (probably several times) between now & then... if you're travelling, prepare for every eventuality... bring sunscreen AND wet weather gear.... oh, and midge repellent (sorry... )

Those who are determined to see glass-half-full rather than glass-half-empty should rely more on the locals like yourself ! Luckily, most guests are probably sensible enough to go prepared for rain; then, if it does n't come, we'll be pleasantly surprised !
Re. catering, if it's like most other outdoor venues it will be chips, crepes, chips, burgers, chips......
