In a word...no. You are now a member of the Forum and have the opportunity for the presale. Some things one has to do for themselves. Make sure you are registered for ticketmaster, and make sure you come on the forum just before 9am (if you are in Ireland). At the beginning of this thread Jarkko with provide the link. The rest is up to you.

Ticketmaster site says that tickets will be on sale to the general publice from 9:00am Sat whereas the first post on this thread says that tickets will be available from 8:00am local time. I assume that this is just a mistake here and that the general sale will begin at 9:00 but could anyone confirm this?

What do you mean??? The time is correct in the first message - 9 am Irish time, not 8!!

time difference Ireland-Germany 1 our, that means 9 am Irish time (=local Time) is 10:00 German time
do your registering with the ticketmaster already now
get familiar with the ticketmasters website already now
some minutes before presale start have the first post of this thread by jarkko on your screen, click the refreshing button frequently, as soon as the presale link comes up, click on it - and book
