there is no reason why you shouldn't go ahead and just book your outward sailing to hydra...i've just tested an earlier round trip and the fare is 25:50 euros each way whether you book a single or a return fare...so the total fare for the round trip whether you book as two single fares or as a return fare is 51 euros
and hydriot's wise words about booking in advance if you are expecting to sail on the last ferry of the day sounds like good advice to me

Two years ago we also had reservation to the last departure of the day. We arrived in the harbour hours before, and had no problems in changing our tickets to one of the earlier boats. They did not charge anything for the transfer.

I actually meant forgetting the return trip altogether! But thanks.... I probably will go ahead and book singles as it'll have to be the last ferry of the day for us.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm getting a powerful longing for Hydra right about now... I've been watching videos and slideshows every chance I get, so I'd thought I'd share a couple: the first one is 3 songs with images of Hydra, and the second is one that starts out with images of Epidauros (village, theatre and environs), then meanders around Arachova, the cave of the Muses, Delphi and Hydra.

http://youtu.be/5TnU2UguKqY One of the most underappreciated (edit - IMHO) LC songs. Completely sublime - thank you for this so very much Anne - can't wait til Hydra.
Best regards,
Mary

another nostalgia slide show-- this one is very brief, with Theodorakis music and images of Hydra and a little of Spetses

I am on Hydra now, so if anyone needs anything checked, just ask, though I am on-line only once or twice a week. For hikers, the paths are now marked with lots of little yellow signs, even to Zourva and Bisti.
Temperature has been cloudless 28+ degrees, weather now changeable 21 - 26 degrees. Easter was fantastic.
Prices horrible. Brings lots of cash. Difficult to eat out for less than 17 euros.

I expected to see the weather report for Hydra and instead got a beautiful photo montage - thank you Wijbe! This has got me (forgive the American expression) 'really psyched'!

Feeling very envious of you all, as I am not coming this year.
But you will like the Erofili, we have stayed there previously, very nice!
