Because when I registered I didn't know I was going to spend so much time on it, let alone meet people I wanted to share

Leave it to me to just post-and-run, so hours later, here I am back, and you're nowhere to be found . Guess the champagne's good and flat by now. If we'd gone with wine, it coulda been breathing all this time. Better planning. That's what we need.

Well, the tysh deal ~ since we're into name explanation ~ a dear, woman friend in the Keys used to call me Lizzytish [that's how I saw it in my mind's eye, as that seemed to be how she said it]. However, when I went to register on Yahoo, I couldn't believe there was already someone with that name and spelling, so I had to find a Plan B. That ended up Lizzytysh. Somehow, it sounds different, too, a little deeper somehow . Anyway, I ended up preferring it ~ the visual of the two y's is nice. However, it's become too cumbersome to do the whole thing, and it feels more comfortable and casual to just do Lizzy [spelled that way, except for rare exceptions, like Paula, who spell it Lizzie, which could be considered a copying of Lizzie Madder ~ oh well]. So, that's the story, and aren't you glad you asked .

So what happens at these meetups? I have always wanted to visit Hydra.

Truly, Murf, the best way for you to get a feeling for it will be to go to the main page of Jarkko's site, and check out the coverage on the Montreal, Hydra, and New York Events. You'll get a very good feeling for what occurs that way. The official Events are very organized, which will be the case with Berlin. However, with Hydra this year, it's simply a gathering, where people will be renewing/continuing/developing friendships, as they just spend time together, relaxing, eating, drinking, playing music, checking out Hydra, etc. ~ kinda like going on vacation together. At the Events, we have very Leonard-specific things going on. I'd go into more detail on that, but you'll honestly get a better feeling for it by going and looking at the photos and reading the synopses and blurbs. It's be great to see you on Hydra!

I am a few months older than when I last frequented the forum but alas no wiser. My hair is still silver-grey and I have been singing Leonard's songs with a guitar since 1969. 1+9+6+9 = 25. 2+5 =7- which is the age when I first had the desire to learn to play guitar but I had to wait till I was 18 when I bought my first guitar. The action was so bad that playing put it out of tune and the strings felt like razors on my fingertips. I persevered and my second guitar was a 12 string with a beautifully low action and a rich resonant tone. That guitar was ruined by heat ~4 years later in the boot of my car while travelling through Australia's arid inland. My next guitar was a steel 6 string Eston which I had to replace due to warped bridge while in New Zealand in the mid 70's to do a winter season performance contract in Queenstown for 6 nights a week. That guitar is a K. Yairi steel 6 string which I still play today and though it is old and battered, like myself it is still in active service and the tone still improves with age.
Such is the passing of years. "Oh love aren't you tired yet?"
