Ah, no... you're very welcome to a sip of my champagne, but you'll have to work out who I am first... no nametag for me... 8)
I am sure one will know one so to speak --tags or no tags!!! Look forward to meeting lots of people

For both nights! Strange as according to the layout there is no row s in block a? I'm gonna email POD and ask them that if the layout has changed to release the details of the new one!

Hi guys,

Don't know quite what is going on here. First, whoever would like a nametag PLEASE let Maarten know. The previous nametags have been wonderful and these will be even more special because of the "Irish" side to them..they are beautiful and Maarten goes to a lot of trouble for us, for very little expense on our part.

Secondly, WTF is this thing going on about a division of LC fans???? Oh m'gosh...come on everyone!!!! Personally...I will be staying in Sligo for 5 nights. Two of those nights involve the concerts. On the evening of the 30th I would have loved to be part of a dinner and get-together in Sligo, BUT, I have a previous committment. However, I will be in all the various pubs in Sligo probably MANY MANY times over the period of 5 days! I may hit the Library at the Garavogue for about 10 minutes. The most wonderful thing for me at any of these meetups is the diversity of fans, and how fabulous everyone is!! Everyone!!! And I may perhaps (er, depending upon how much wine I may have imbibed at dinner) also be returning to the group on the 30th....after my committment to my friends.

We are all coming to Sligo for one reason! Leonard!!! I personally look forward SO much to touching bases with friends I have come to know over the past 2 plus years....AND getting to know so many others who are either cyber-friends, or who I've only known via their Forum or Facebook names. Let's simply have fun together...laugh, eat, drink, be friends, and who knows, maybe even love!!! ;-) ;-) And, above all.....enjoy every moment of the concerts!!

Diana

ps..TipperaryAnn...the idea of a Sunday lunch is excellent! :D

TipperaryAnn wrote : Contrast that with the Friday night dinner, has anyone, apart from the OCC ( Old Comrades Club, meeting in the Library, ) been invited to that ?

I was requested to try organise a Dinner to take place on Friday the 30th for some of Leonard's fans attending Sligo
when I announced this on the Forum I made it clear that the dinner was open to all fans
including those
who are not members of this Forum .
There are still places remaining for this function, at 12 euro for a two course meal it represents good value.
( and the food is good ;-) ).
The number attending so far stands at 34.
The time has been re-arranged for 7 - 7.30 start ( all the Westies will be out of town by that time :) ).
The upstairs restaurant in Shenanigans holds approx. 80 people.
I am sure there will be nothing to stop anyone going there for a meal but the point behind the Dinner suggestion was, I believe, to name a place where fans might gather.
I will not be able to attend.
The suggestion for a Sunday lunch came from the same person.
I mentioned it on the Forum but I have not heard anymore about it since :?
I guess It could easily be arranged at anytime over the weekend, a phone call to Shenanigans or elsewhere would suffice to book a venue  .
I did clarify that the suggestion of a meet-up point in the Library Bar was intended to be just that " a place where friends could connect " ( just like a meet-up point in an airport  ) and then join the rest of the Meet-up group in the Garavogue Pub.
But now that Maarten is setting up his distribution point for the nametags there it will serve as a connect-up point anyway.
It is a small area and people would not stay long there one way or the other.
.

roan wrote: we dont feel inclined to attend much if any meetups as when I asked the question weeks ago, being new to the forum (not to cohen concert) re who was welcome etc I felt my question was answered in a dismissive way not being a regular.
I am sorry to hear you got that reaction, Roan. As you can see from what Mabeanie1, Mutti and others have said here, most people would be very welcoming and would not like to see any divisions develop. I know I was made feel welcome in Barcelona, and Maarten's attractive nametags helped people to sort out who was who. But as we all know, it's the music that matters!

Thanks for clarifying it all Carlow Mike! I look forward to meeting old friends and meeting new ones and can hardly believe how blessed we are to see yet again another concert...
Yippee!!!
See you all there! wherever there is!

Just to make sure I haven't given anyone the wrong idea.... my aversion to the meet ups & name tags is absolutely nothing to do with anything anyone has written here.... just not my thing.... 8)

The seating chart has changed, with flat seating extending to row y and what appears to be 2 blocks x and y either side of block a.

I have a question for which someone hopefully has an answer. Received my tickets today :D :D However, I am very confused, and the seat chart that Ticketmaster has is no help. For the 31st, I have a seat in Block A Flat, Block A, Row D, Seat 58 and it indicates K-type (huh? :? ). For the 1st, my seat is in Block A Flat, Block B ( :? :? ), Row B, Seat 34 and it's an A-type. What's the difference between K-type and A-type tickets? It's pretty straightforward for the Saturday that I'm in the 4th row, but where the heck am I on the 1st? I'm in Row B, which should be the 2nd row, but 2nd row where??? Has anyone been able to make heads or tails of the seating arrangements? Is it really row 2? Or row 2, 50 rows back or off to the side or up in the air? Where is Block A Flat, Block B?

Help!

Jeepers Diana, now you've got me worried. Same thing here - both days show Block A Flat, then on the next line the row and seat number, but under that for Saturday Block A again, then on Sunday, it shows Block B. Now when I checked, you can buy a Block A Flat which also shows Block C. Are they trying to confuse us 'furreners'? They've done a fine job doing so with me. I hope someone can enlighten us (although I am visualizing a mad scramble while everyone is double checking their own tickets).

Alas, the new seating plan on Ticketmaster is no help as it shows 3 sections in section A - A plus X & Y! I imagine though that your tickets were printed and mailed before the new seating plan was devised. Probably "A" is split between A, B & C as per many "fixed" venues (the seating plan for the Odyssey in Belfast last year showed a single block at the front seats 1 - 50 but when we got there it was actually split in to 3 separate blocks) and X & Y have been added to the sides. Maybe the promoters http://www.pod.ie can explain - I think carlowmike said he'd contacted them on the other thread.

Exactly the same thing here. I purchased tickets for the Sunday night in Block A, but almost had a heart attack when the tickets arrived and I saw the words "Block B" underneath where it says "Block A Flat". I am still none the wiser...

'What's the difference between K-type and A-type tickets?'

Called ticketmaster as i have tickets on the saturday night in both block A & B with ticket type K on both tickets. They said 'K' usually means Kids and 'A' for Adults but in this case it means nothing and its just the way they were printed.
