Wasn't there but got a couple of text messages and one phone call late last night saying Leonard was in rare form last night....light years ahead of Sunday apparently.

Yes it was another fabulous night. This time he sang 'I didn't come to the great city of Dublin to fool you' and let us sing most of the 'So Long Marianne' choruses all by ourselves. During the first verse he kneeled down and when the audience started singing along properly towards the end of it he held out his hands, palms up, basically going 'take it away, folks' - it was sooooo cool, thanks Leonard!

And can I just say I thought the musicians were even more superb last night than the nights before, just unbelievable, such a pleasure to listen to every solo. So nice to see they all seem to have fun together on stage, just brilliant. I couldn't get the smile off my face all night...

P.S. Rafael's drumstick score so far is 2:1 (caught it on Sunday, dropped it on Monday, caught it on Wednesday) :-)

Forgot to say, at the end of the first 'So Long Marianne' chorus he said 'ah you sing so pretty'...let's see if we can top that tonight!

Well Leonard just gets better and better, if that could be possible. There is less evidence of that summer cold. The audience was in full participation at the appropriate times, I think he really enjoyed that. There was reverential silence when necessary and we were visibly encouraged to sing along at other times.

Our huge treat last night was at the end of the night just when we thought they were ready to sing Whither Thou Goest, all the band stayed in position, the lights came up and Leonard sang Lullaby for us. That was the real icing on the cake for me, I just couldn't believe we got to hear it live. Thank you to everybody for that wonderful surprise.

My twelve year old daughter had a great time, she really enjoyed the show. Thank you very much Mickey Sullivan for keeping a set list for her. Much appreciated.

Marie

First of all hats off to all the staff at the 02 last night, the whole event was well organised, no hustle or bustle, very relaxed, which led to a great night.

You get to a point when you realise that there are no superlatives that will desribe such a musical event.

After the concert we went for a beer on the "ship", it was a beautiful night as we stood on the deck, conversation flowing, a gentle breeze blowing.

It felt so good knowing that we had experienced another lift of the spirits.

Thank you Leonard Cohen.

So very glad to hear that Leonard is beginning to feel better. Whenever I have a cold I seem to go into a cocoon state for a couple of weeks, but here he is continuing with almost nightly concerts...and singing!! I think being able to stay in one place for several days has helped...plus the wonderful Irish audiences! :D

Marie...a beautiful review, and then "Lullaby"...wow, a special treat for special people!

All the best,
Diana

Long shot but....I don't suppose anyone has an even half decent spare ticket going for tonight's show? If so, I can be very gratefully contacted at 00353872347179.

Yours in hope rather than expectation,

Garret

Another magical night ahead with Leonard.

Just behind my bus home, this beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky.... Wonderful things happen when Mr Cohen is in our town.
I went in search of Leonard this morning and I found Dino instead! :) What a wonderful guy.

You are one fortunate girl, Tinderella! You surely look happy in your wonderful photograph... Were you guided by that signal in the heavens to your lucky find? ;-)
