that's very kind of you to say, abby! honestly, though - i'm no different from anyone else. each of us has something we can share in our own way.

I love when you read something and then you instantly want to re-read it. Your piece pulls me through it Abby. While reading I find myself in spaces that I want to linger. I want to stay with the boy a while longer but I'm pulled to the next space. I want to ask that woman a question and I'm pulled into the next space. It reminds me of jumping in ocean waves and I love it.

I find myself saying frequently these says that the royal we need an emoji for a death grip hug. Hola Cate! Long time no see. How are you & yours? It's cool to get published I guess but it's cooler to do the work dumb as it sounds & probably indecently humble. I loooooove the wave stuff. People who know something about grief liken it to waves

Very interesting and well written Abby. Love your drawing too. From your story I feel you have so much more of your life you could write about if you choose to.
Currently sitting bedside my 83 year old father, wondering if this is it. Your story definitely hits home and I am somewhat not alone.
