Registration to our Hydra meetup in 2025

Dear friends,

due to unforeseen circumstances we could not start registration last weekend but now we are more than happy to announce that registration is now open for our meet-up on Hydra which will take place from

Thursday May 22 until Sunday May 25 in 2025.

As in previous years this will not be a fully organised event but rather be a get together of like minded people - all sharing the same interest in Leonard Cohen and his music and poetry.

As in previous years we already are in the process of planning several activities. We are going to add the details as soon as the final arrangements are being made with our partners on the island.

All details about these special activities including prices will be hopefully available at the end of March at the latest. Due to the very dynamic economic situation right now it’s not possible to put down any estimates at the moment. But please be assured - we will try our best to keep everything within reasonable limits.

Speaking of the economic situation. Inflation has hit the costs for maintenance both for the cinema club and the Leonard Cohen bench as much as everything else. So after careful consideration the participation fee had to be raised to 15 Euro per person. As always the full amount will be used to keep up the maintenance for the Leonard Cohen bench and support the cinema club which has hosted us so gracefully over the years.

The people at Cafe Roloi have been incredibly hospitable to our group over the years and are happy to welcome us once again in 2025. So we will have a central place to meet, chat and make plans for the day and evenings.

In previous years we all could enjoy the warm evenings with self made music and sing-alongs at the Cafe Roloi so please bring your guitars if you like. Please note that no electric amplifiers are allowed in any public areas on the island. So all instruments need to be acoustic.

Of course we will provide you with infos about how to get there and where to find the best restaurants and places. Since this is an unofficial gathering all travel arrangements need to be made by the participants themselves though.

The registration fee is 15€ per person and non refundable. Payments can be made via SEPA bank transfer within the SEPA zone in Europe or PayPal from outside the SEPA zone. Details will be provided in the responding email to your initial email.

After receiving the registration fee you will receive a confirmation and your name will be added to the list of participants on the forum. Please let us know if you wish to remain anonymous.

More precise information on the various activities with the opportunity to make binding reservations for these will be published soon.

We are very much looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible on this beautiful Greek island!

Now I'm not saying this is a thing hut let's say my husband & I were to inquire about coming in May... I'd just send an email to that email address? Am I allowed? I think of these gatherings as respectable gatherings & believe I would mix the company. Can I come?
