I paid for the previous expected release of this material some years ago and received neither the order nor a refund (cost about £86 if I remember correctly); I can understand folks being concerned about the delay in despatch of this item, so that’s why I decided just to order from Amazon.

The Limited Edition Box Set has been in my Amazon basket since it was first listed on Amazon (in November, as far as I recall), with, initially, a release date of 13 December, but I note that the release date has gradually shifted from 13 December to (now) the 24th January.

Also, Amazon’s price is a lot higher than the listed price at MusicGlue.

Thanks for the Info! Yes, good to know that the items actually exist.
I didn't know they can be ordered via Amazon (in the UK at least, not at amazon.de).
So I will wait another week or two and hope for my Music Glue order to arrive. If not I'll try to get my money back & order from amazon.co.uk.

It's not available on Amazon in the US. I suppose I'll also try to reach out to Music Glue before too long.

I will be interested to hear what, if any, response you get. I'd had a note to order this when I had a bit more time and I finally got round to it at the beginning of January - a birthday present to me - just before serious concerns began to be raised here. As of today, my order is still "processing" and has not yet been dispatched. I guess that means it is in the hands of Tony Palmer..... Disappointing as I will be away for 3 weeks from next week and was hoping it would arrive before I left.

Out of curiosity I checked out Gonzo Multimedia

https://www.gonzomultimedia.co.uk/

These are the search returns for ‘Bird on the Wire’:

And ‘Leonard Cohen’

Hopefully an email to this A. Lavelle will be more helpful

Tho’ it seems a bit unusual that they have a gmail address rather than an address @gonzomultimedia.co.uk

Since my order has not yet shipped I made a request to cancel through Music Glue. Unfortunately the request was sent to Tony Palmer as seller/ shipper so I am not confident that my request will be acknowledged let alone acted upon...W

Hi,

I checked the Amazon UK website and I could find 'The Bird on a Wire Concerts' single CD and single DVD, which you mentioned in your quoted post. However I could not find the 'Limited Edition Box Set', which according to an earlier post from you was also available from Amazon UK. Could you please provide a link to this edition. Thanks.

Thanks for the link.

It is somewhat astonishing that they specify a release date of January 24 although the original release date from Music Glue was December 6. As obviously CD and DVD exist I get the impression that the box set isn't finished yet which would explain that nobody has received it up to now. It is somewhat unlikely that all dispatched items are lost in the mail or kept up by customs. This however would mean that the confirmation of dispatch from December 4 was premature/wrong. Maybe this was caused by the strange splitting of reponsibilities between Music Glue and Gonzo Multimedia as per the attchment in drsings' post from Friday.

I looked into my Music Glue account today to file a request. My intention was to ask for a replacement copy and if this is not possible for a refund. Unfortunately one has to select at the beginning one of the two options (replacement/refund).
