Walking Week(end) Switzerland September 24th - 27th 2023

Dear all

As it has been the case in recent years, those who participated in the last walking-weekends were the first to receive the information and also the first to register for next years walking week(end) which will take place from Sunday, September 24th till Wednesday, September 27th 2023 in one of the most beautiful areas in my home country Switzerland (and will start and end in Zurich).
The number of participants is limited to 50. We have 40 registered participants at the moment, so there is still space for 10 additional Cohenites.
Please write me a PM here on the forum if you are interested and I am more than happy to provide you with all the information regarding registration, hotel booking, etc.
First come, first served (if there are more Cohenites interested than we have space, I will put you on a waiting list)!

Here's the tentative program:

Sunday, September 24th:
We will meet at Zurich HB (main train station) in the early afternoon where we take the train to Chur and then change to Bergün where we will spend the next 3 nights in a beautiful Jugendstil-hotel built in 1903.

Monday, September 25th
After breakfast we will board the train in Bergün to St.Moritz where we will change for the bus which will bring us to Sils, my favourite village in the Engadin valley.
From there we will start our first walk and most likely also do a boat trip with the highest scheduled boat service in Europe

Afterwards, we will travel from Sils with bus and train back to Bergün.

Tuesday, September 26th
We will do a walk in the Bergün area.

Wednesday, September 27th
We will travel back from Bergün via Chur to Zürich after breakfast and will arrive in Zurich around lunchtime.
In the afternoon we will do a guided 2-hour-walking-tour through Zurich's old town.
In the evening, we will have the chance to see the wonderful "Tribute to Leonard Cohen" performance at Rigiblick theatre (the directors of the theatre, who are both big Leonard Cohen fans as well, have booked and gathered all the artists involved specifically for the last day of our walking week(end).
